1. Not a bad thought ped but they don't seem to stock tc stuff
2. ..Who was it that was well into Pangborns?! I think it may have been Dr of bass (nick)
3. Get both! Send the one you don't like back
4. Yeah, I struggled with both websites tbh. But then most bass related companies websites seem terrible!
5. I thought the bridge looked quite cool
6. Random thought, Why not get yourself a DI pedal? Use what you have for on stage sound and support and the PA can pick up the rest
7.
Love the ACG and the Yamaha!
Yeah they're my babies Weirdly enough... They ACG is playing metal and the Yamaha Punk currently
8. Spraypaint? (Also no knowledge but it's my guess) Have you considered just a vinyl transfer?
9. Question Time What basses/amps have you tried and liked? In an amp what is most important: Lightweight (e.g. you live up 4 flights of stairs like me) Space saving (e.g. you have a small car) Would you prefer head and cab separate or together in a combo. Separates can be much easier to upgrade but will usually cost you more in the short term. How loud does it need to be? At the moment it sounds like your amp is the weakest link so I would concentrate on upgrading that first IIRC there was a line6 300pro on here, they're fantastic amps (hugely underrated) but not light at around 90lbs Good luck in your search and welcome to BC
10.
i am looking at a warwick pro series Corvette Std 4 String (german made) with usa swamp ash body budinga natural oil finish ovangkol neck mec pickups and mec two band electronics i am a bit wary of used warwicks as prices have seem to have taken a bit of hammering lately it would be costing me around 600euros or £500.00 any help would be great
I'm not sure where you saw USA Swamp ash body but I'm 99.9% sure that is a bubinga body and not just a finish. The ovangkol necks are nice. £500 seems fair enough to me but that's your call really. Don't buy a warwick looking to invest though. Go and try it if you can then make your own decision Good luck P.S. I have never played a corvette that I didn't automatically fall in love with
11. I'm certain my wallet would not appreciate that. My bank might though
12.
Cheers Michael! Can't believe I didn't think of that.
Well that was silly
13. I love making different parts of my flat resonate by playing different notes
14. A budget would probably help
15. I'm looking at hooking up my TC RH450 to 2 cab solution now. Basically adding either a RS210 or RS212 (unless something amazing pops up I hadn't thought of). Both places are the same price, similar distance and also have a good stock of Amps and Basses. The main thing for me is being able to turn up LOUD and see how they differ
16. At first glance I thought it was an old style radio
17.
You'd need a balanced DI jack on your bass to do that, and that sounds like a lot more hassle than it would be worth particularly in relation to connecting said bass to amps and pedals.
I actually agree it would be handy but would need an optional battery/+48v switch. You'd just need a pedal between your bass and your rig to supply the power. Although I suppose you could just put the pre-amp into that tbh.
