7.
Don't use Parcel FARCE, that's the most important thing If you bathroom scales measure you accurately, then they are probably close on the bass' weight, just pack the heck out of it, put the hardcase in a box with more bubblewrap etc wrap it all up and weigh it again, then measure the package, get your buyer's post code/ address and go to Interparcel.com for a quote (It'll be way cheaper than P Farce)
Didnt you use them for my bass
 8. If your really uncomfortable about it all then don't ship abroad. Otherwise he should be paying extra for the Hardcase and the shipping if it was included in the sale. Other than that three points: Lots of cardboard Lots of bubble wrap Lots of parcel tape Best of luck mate Depending on where you are I have a suitable cardboard box if you want it, pickup only ofcourse but free of charge as I got it with a bass from Lorne on here. I still have the packaging he used too
 9. Out of interest what size are you guys using for backdrops?
 10. Imagine the friction burn you could get

 12.
Seriously though folks, this raises some serious issues that need to be seriously addressed. Seriously. I think we should all club together and get the problem sorted. I'm serious. Vibrating G String, you take musicians. Ou7shined you take custom luthiers. I will take the large guitar manufacturers. Can someone else take please pickup manufacturers? Right, if we start emailing everyone now we should be able to tell everyone they are wrong within a year or so. I suggest the subject line "You are 100% WRONG". That should grab their attention. VGS: I suggest starting with Marcus Miller. I once saw an interview with him where he claimed he preferred maple fingerboards because they were brighter. What an IDIOT! MILLER! You are 100% WRONG! O7: Luthiers. Take your pick. They all seem to have opinions about wood. They are all WRONG! Maybe send them some links to plywood suppliers to help them out? That would be cool. Whoever takes pickup manufacturers...GOOD LUCK is all I can say. Those bastards are always going on about how ceramic and alnico magnets sound different. It makes me sick. GO GO GO! We've only got 24 hours to save the etc. etc.
Sounds like a plan
 13. I have a 1/4lb and love it but wouldn't call it the Classic sound. Much much clearer that normal Pbass to my ears

 18.
First things first, I hope everyone realised my last post was a wind up ! Although, it's not much different to a lot of the stuff I've read on here about why various products are better than others. Could it simply be that the bass has been photgraphed with the strings loosened, so aren't sitting straight against the board and have therefore been pulled on to the pickups as well?
by any chance did you have a similar windup/drunken conversation about roasted peanuts which lead onto the benifits of roasting a bass or even... god forbid... the neck???
 19. I never really thought about it but I think I tend to left hand mute...
