1. Either that or he'll play deaf to any orders that push it over the 125
2.
Interesting really... I mean there was this thing called a double bass that was a bass with no frets. Then back in the 1930s a guy called Paul Tutmarc invented the bass guitar, which was a smaller bass turned sideways and with frets on. Then sometime later someone decided to take the frets off and call it a fretless bass guitar. Then someone else had the idea of turning it vertical and making it longer and calling it an electric upright bass. At around this point in time, modern bass players started to rediscover this thing called a double bass... ficelles
The circle of bass?
3. Carlesberg don't do bumps but if they did they'd be like dc2009's
4. Anyone else think the numbers quoted about are false? I bet he'll atleast break even, possibly even better + the bonus of 125 basses in two weeks followed to a "fad" crowd wanting them? (no offence to those wanting them, not ALL who want these are in the fad crowd but there are a LOT out there) This wouldn't usually bug me but actually making a point to mention it on his forum isn't exactly the brightest of ideas.
5. That looks right for the most part. If I was being ULTRA picky maybe something odd about the back pickup but that could be the pickup height screws
6. I plan to DI and use my amp at the same time. Our "interesting" setup is going to be far to complex for the standard sound engineer to notice me switching a few cables around
7. Found It!!!!!
8. I can't find the Old thread on this Can anyone else dig it out?
9. They close up shop at 12:30 I think. I kept forgetting, took a week to sort that
10.
I have had the old strap detaching itself from the bass halfway through a song and had to carry on playing whilst holding the bass in position.
Had that one happen, nobody noticed what actually happened and thought I was just posing
11.
er... basschat?
12. I've used D'addario prosteels and roto swingbasses. But literally just ordered some newtone string with a custom core for drop c tuning. Should be interesting
13. We've done this before We pretty much proved it was out, much to the distaste of some people on the Lakky website. Good ol' paint and boxes
14. It'll fit well, white basses are quite common I play my acg (greenburst), precision black/black rosewood and will be adding the teal yamaha into the mix too. Now we just need a gig
15. Just the thought of a relentless drummer who carries on regardless of what's happening in the band... Hold on that's normal isn't it?! In all fairness its more the technical aspect, do we get a drum machine? Use a laptop? (currently none of us own a laptop Upto the job reliably) a cd? My digital mixing desk etc etc.... It's going to be an adventure In a month or so well be holding a large rehearsal and get a few bods along for honest opinions. If anyone is interested in popping along drop me a pm
16. Thanks for the add on fb Dr j We have a vocalist at the moment and have recorded, we're just mixing at the moment. He sings thrash and melodic
17. Thanks for the kind comments, we're not actually looking to add human drums. However we are going through new samples and the like. I have to admit its going to make things difficult live
18.
Another shout for the Line 6 Lowdown110. I have one and it is wonderful. Wouldn't fancy it's chances against a drummer but for bedroom practice and recording it's fantastic.
It copes, just! But with PA support no problem
19. Thanks, much appreciated. It's the guitarists name for it, I called it Heavy Prog Metal Basically along the lines of Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Arch Enemy etc...
20. If only all basses had a grain that nice excellent work!
