Just a thought off the cuff. Limit to being a member for one week might do the job nicely

Gig Amp
Any ideas why the behringer is £100 cheaper, are they £100 inferior?
No... Much more than that
4.
I use one of these: http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GS414B.html The grip mechanism broke after a while (still grips my bass, just doesn't automatically release it) but it's the most stable stand i've used. I don't like the mini types that don't grip the neck, no good for heavy basses or ones that are have assymetrical bottoms. The Ultimate Support one looks good too.
+1 on these

Gig Amp

A budget would be handy
6. Good luck Wayne Hats off for removing personal taste from it all!
7. Calling Dood!!! hey look a grind button Why have you got this in the other section rather than the amp section? Good luck with the sale of this fantastic little amp!
8. I have one of the older ones, it does mark up a little easily but it honestly doesn't bother me. On the plus it is extra grippy. The new ones are smoother iirc, however I would expect them to still be grippy. Why not check in the shop??
9.
I'm going to defend the lowly Marlin Sidewinder! I picked up my silver Sidewinder along with a cheap 1x15 amp (Cougar) for £200 The output was fine, the tone lacked a bit of definition and character, but was acceptable, and the action was quite high, but it was a great starter bass. I managed to practice, gig and even record with it for about three years. Maybe I lucked out with a good example
I'll put it this way... I took a chunk out of one of my fingers on the fretwire on this particular example You definately lucked out! Or she REALLY DIDN'T!!
10. Is it possible the neck plate was made for another bass that went wrong? Most mass producers make necks and bodies in mass so they could have been made at completely different times
Yes we understand that but some people are just happy to browse without feeling the need throw their tuppence worth in. What is wrong with having a set time that you have to be a member for, before you get to use the ebay facilitie. Or for that matter say fifty posts or 3months membership, whichever occurs the soonest. Just a thought. As a ps is this a big problem? What sort of a percentage of people are doing this?
I'd reckon this would be your best bet. Although I would say around a month insetad
12. Yeah it was good thanks Nik, Thanks for all the great advice, it really helped. You wait till the next one mwahahahaha
13. Someone I used to know had one of the sidewinder basses, she was convinced it was worth a lot of money. After I asked "why does it sound so bad then" she didn't talk to me much after
14. Can't remember who what or where I heard it but: If you can't remember the bassline no-one else will
15. mesa and 300w? Count me interested. Speculations on cost?
16.
Great idea, but too complicated!
I'll expand on that... Great idea for in the studio Too Complicated for live However... Combine it with an acg EQ02 circuit for true insanity
17. I wonder if it supports daisy-chaining like the rh450... As it stands I've decided 2 rh450's is superior. Or and rh450 and a classic would do the same actually or a staccatto. Or all 3!!!! 3 tc amps daisy chained = max capacity of 9 x(4x10) mmmmm......
18. I bet the tc blacksmith is louder and sounds better
19. Ok new recommendation TC Classic 450 and buy a cheap tattered looking amp and hinge the front, empty the insides and sit the amp in there
20. Have you tried changing you playing position at all? Tone can change a LOT with a little adjustment. I've recently started tuning CGCF so I found this out the hard way. The other thing is what does it sound like standard tuned? Have you altered the setup much to allow for the drop tuning? Maybe your action height is uneven?
21. Last night I struggled to get on the site at all for a fair while. Now it's ok again. Weird
22. How about the TC Electronic Classic 450 if you don't want to splash out for the rh450?
23. I would just like to say that the payment of £20 has been made to Nordoff-Robbins
