5. Hmmm... 1. Dave Ellefson 2. Matt Freeman 3. John Entwistle or Steve Harris 2 and 3 are pretty uncertain if im honest...
6. I was thinking a capacitor too as it could account for the flanger like sound IIRC
7. As Homer Simpson once said: "Indubitably"
8. Interesting thread Paul I tend to play different depending on my sound. The advantage for me is the fact that the ACG is so sodding versatile it can match any style I want too play. If I want a funky sound I dial in a funky sound & alter style accordingly If I want a rock sound I dial in a rock sound & alter style accordingly I could play either way with either sound BUT it wouldn't feel as natural.
9. I've been wondering this myself lately. I'm absolutely fine at upbeat songs, I get the feel straight away and then writing comes naturally but when my band want to do a slower song I find it a bit more of a struggle. Unfortunately I think in this case I'll have to just work through it with the band.
10. Nice one, good luck with the build and I'm looking forward to seeing a build thread You're in safe hands with Alan
11. Ask the mods to hide the for sale section from you?
12. Very wood and tronicsesque. No my kinda bass tbh
13. I think the studio may seem heavier as it so compact. You look at it and expect it to be lighter than it is.
14. My last bass was September last year
15.
BTW, for those interested, The owner and myself have been discussing returning the bass to it's original condition, he is going to speak to his luthier to see IF it can be done, and is able to strip other vintage B.C.Riches of original creme DiMarzios and Chrome Grover Titans and Imperials, and use the Bich parts on the basses he uses as donors.Shame he has to do this, but the Imperials are impossible to get and Although I have 2 sets of Vintage Chrome Titans spare, he would rather do it this way So, fingers crossed, the red necks can be striped
Fingers are well and truly crossed. Can we get pics of the stonehenge too?
16.
I dont think the band is ready
Thats why you're not feeling it mate, you're worried instead of excited. Ok... you're worried about the band rather than just yourself but it really will take the wind out of your sails thinking like this. Try and look on the positive and that old feeling will probably come rushing back. Good luck and enjoy it
17. They're most definately still on my list. My next purchase will probably be a good quality 5 or 6 string. However the list of manufacturers that I'll consider is quite wide and its not going to be for years
18. Bass loving animals really are the best.
19. New strings on yesterday whole new range of tones again! Can't wait for practice tonight
20.
Here is the owner's reply "Thanks – that’s the kind of feedback I was hoping for. Do you think a re-fin would devalue the instrument? Not saying I’m going to do it, just curious… Mini-Stonehenge – HELL yeah! I’ll dress Wilson as a leprechaun too… " Wilson is his very expensive pitbull, had nearly $5000 worth of work to it's back legs due to snapped ligaments,. He loves his animals
Brilliant, I would've thought it would add to the value if anything a pitbull as a leprechaun? Now that is scary!
21. Why not have a look at line6 pods?
