2. ive always been fascinated by the freemasons, its a great idea and concept and obviously works for its members (or they wouldnt bother being members) much like here its a gathering of people with a similar mindset as far as im concerned
3. i can only add to the above. as a monitor it may cope. Mine coped fine at any rehearsal i threw at it. fantastic practice amp, great for rehearsals, for gigs its a monitor at most. the di is fantastic di though and it may do what your looking for. my honest advice is go and try one, ask the shop owner if they would mind you cranking it. i use quite a treble heavy sound and it was bloody loud imho.
4. Ive thought before that having certain items of clothing you could notice a bc member by would be cool. i for one would love to be at a gig seeing a guy wearing an item of clothing (say a pendant) indicating they were a bc member. id feel very comfortable approaching the guy and introducing myself. Im not talking upto the level of favours and such, but instant recognition would be cool.
5. Good luck in your search. I'd suggest checking out the local area for rentals and maybe see what you could afford for a di. If you could stretch then it would be a great excuse to buy a basspod. We here on bc are always looking for an excuse for new gear And finally welcome to bc.
6. I'm just glad the bass has been identified and we know about it. Personally I'd love for it to be restored to its former glory. And yes seeing it gigged would be awesome but that's up to the owner. If its going to displayed in the owners collection as it were I suggest getting a miniature stonehenge to display it with
7. Nice one mate, you should put a countdown in your Sig!
8. You all thought I was mad! You didn't think it was possible! I'll prove you wrong i thought and now look! See what I've done! Rough translation: sold pending the usual
9. Fanned fretless... I think my mind imploded at the thought...
10. Is this seperate from the EA bassbash or replacing?
11. Any plan to strip the red off?
12. Headless Gallus you know it makes sense! I'm thinking that MAY be my next bass. Although a fanned fret bass is calling me at the moment... luckily I dont have the funds to fuel my GAS at the moment
13.
I had this set up in the rehearsal studio last night & was scared away by my tone
Fixed
14. Amp and cab tbh, its hard to justify the money to upgrade to separates once you have a combo (and then you can't seem to sell the sodding thing!). Separates are easier to upgrade.
15. When I was at college a girl mentioned I looked good with a bass (was helpeding setup) when I was in Uni I remembered this comment and started teaching myself
16. Pmd, currently at speccing stage. Ideas of dates and charities you'd recommend appreciated. I'm having to do this in spare time ego there Mary be gaps in organisation times.
17. If you find yourself in my neck of the woods give me a shout may also bring to these bassbash if I can go!
18. Amp, its cheaper to upgrade cabs as and when you can
19.
He's bypassed his awesome control and wired straight into the jack for ultimate awesomness.
Thank god he hasn't wired into the flux capacitor. Awesomeness of that level could destroy the world as we know it!
20.
The Dood doesn't do 50%.
The Dood has a fixed awesomeness rating? Are we living in the dark ages! Variable awesomeness has been around since alcohol was invented.
21. Dood could you resubmit your interview with your awesomeness just set to 50%? Could help reduce server frying
22. If your dead set on new then I'd suggest an ACG graft bass. Less than half your budget
