So that's what SVT stands for...Several Vague Threads
Epic

3 months is nothing! My ACG was 9 months... it was hell but worth it! Shuker 'tend' to take longer GB seem to have an insanely quick turnaround. Have you actually asked SIMS how long the body would take?
Then you must be his brother.......Finchley Freedom Fighters 1977 - 1982
Sorry I don't follow...

I would suggest keeping to a single thread. Not only will it keep the thread count but it is more attractive advertising as a teaser. You see Tue pieces come together much nicer. I'd also like to add in the spirit of bc: SVT!

Nothing to add except that he's an absolute gem of a guy too
Well, almost... that would lessen the bond for me. If they had anything to say, they should have said it. It is not like not liking something should be a major issue, yet the drummer decided to do that and probably make it one..?? I'd be pretty wary from now on and keep on top of it. The alternative is to be as committed to them as they are to you..apparently. just my 2p...
I'm wary, however I'm hoping it was a case of 'we had a bad practice and the drummer overreacted'. If the practice hadn't left me feeling so good about playing in general I would have genuinely left and said 'thanks but no thanks' at the end of the night.
AARRRRGGHHHH BASSLINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry! Predictive on the phone!

Lets face it though, the heavier it is the more ROCK it is! Attach a breezeblock to a bass neck and you got yourself a brilliant bass for Rock!

What about one of these? Yammy
My sympathies, Delbert. At least you're never alone with tinnitus and it's a great tool for checking one's plugs are in properly when the tinnitus is the loudest sound. Ah, the perils of yoof. I've recently moved away from musician plugs & onto these http://www.ultimateear.com/Sales/squidgy.htm - now I have no fear of further damage Strangely enough, when tinnitus becomes really, really bad, they give you a high-powered hearing aid to enable you to overcome it.
Just how good are these? For the price they look great.. I would invest in the ER-15s but it IS a lot of money and I may be able to wrangle these "Squidgys" for xmas

Fruitphones... Must remember that. I've been meaning to get into doing android apps might have a look into a bc one

Are you straightening your finger all the way out? This could cause the joint to lock I think...

What's the budget? What strap are you using?
I hope you are joking .
Don't worry he meant to say Android

Cool, got an apology, feedback on the baseline (nearly all good now they're written) and it was the best practice to date. Phew!
-
Lets face it, if someone said to you: "We can tweak this at next to no extra cost and make a bit of extra cash on it" You would wouldn't you? If you wouldn't I bow to your ethically superior mind. Me? I like money too much.
-
Honestly I'm trying to go with the no hard feelings route. Although how they can't like my basslines when they're not written yet is beyond me!
Will it be chips or jacket spuds? Will it be salad or frozen peas? Will it be mushrooms? Fried onion rings? You'll have to wait and see
Hungry much?

Turns out the drummer didn't like my basslines and instead of discussing it with the band decided to advertise for a bassist... Still going along tonight to discuss face to face (last practice I was experimenting and trying to write basslines aswell as being short of a guitarist) and hopefully re-install his faith in me. Fingers X'd... It has NOT been a good day!

I'm a keyboard player originally (I'm good at what I do but I'm not your 'traditional' piano/keys player) and listening for the kind of things mentioned in this thread is pretty much exactly why I left an old band where I was playing keyboard. I was bored... SO, SO BORED! I'd get to play the intro, then some arpeggios, then.... wait.... then arpeggios, then solo, then.... wait (go to bar or something or the kind).. then ending. There was not really any space in the music for a keyboard player at all. It really is a tough part to play in certain styles of music. However if a keyboard player is trampling your basslines... just mention it, I wouldn't take offence and I don't see why anyone else should. Maybe think about if the bass could do with reinforcing in certain areas rather than by itself the whole time. Honestly just talk to the chap. Maybe even point him at this thread

The ashdown will be plenty loud enough for home practice. I've even used one at band practices and my mate uses one at church all the time without any problem. Again, take a friend as the eq could have been set terribly on either. He bass or amp.
-
Thanks mate, this really is an under rated amp as live is have never had anything other than compliments. I tried so many amps before going for this and it has served very well. If it wasnt for 4 flights of stairs and a relatively small flat then I would probably hang onto this to be honest. However the rh450 is serving well and I'd like the money toward a second rs210. Hopefully the market will pick up soon as I hate to see it not being used...

Is it the only bass you don't already own nick?
