1. I have never actually found that guy at all funny. At all! God knows why... Although I would like to second the motion for a smaller area of basschat for other instruments
2. Im currently going through a similar phase but its partially because ive got so much going on with work etc... And when ever I played bass I always ended up going back to the old favourites. Now I am learning guitar and revisiting keyboard. Nothing like a bit of versatility to keep the eagerness flowing

4. Ive given this some thought and Ive just started writing stuff with a mate. Ive been thinking an easy way into this kinda thing is grab 3/4/5 (delete as necessary). some paint and get creating. Keep them individual but same/similar colours. You should be able to tell pretty quick then that were as a group!
5.
It dispels the myth that Jacko wasn't really ready to do the gig. Looks like a massive amount of pre-production work had already gone into the show. Whatever meds were supporting him, he obviously still HAD it. Despite the accusations and madness, he was still one the best entertainers on the planet. And those female dancers...
Fixed
6. Ill have to show this thread to my mate. He has a red special signed by brian may. Gotta be worth a few pennies now..
7.
Your Mrs has fine taste sir. Nice Ric Between a Ric, and a Stingray, the 'Ray is definately the more versatile in terms of sounds, but I reach for my Ric everytime. Absolutely gorgeous to play. So I guess it's a case of "one mans trash is another mans treasure" I can't offer an opinion on Warwicks, as I have never played one!
You sir should be ashamed
8. Some basses you could upgrade to your hearts content and not get close to its "superior" model. Prime example is rockbass & warwick. Such a big difference. The bodies feel & weigh different The necks aren't even related! They sound completely different And sometimes... they don't even look quite the same. The amount of money you'd spend and you would basically have "triggers broom" syndrome
9. 500 quid... Get out there, try a whole load of basses above that price bracket. Find your favourite features and see what you can get with your budget. Honetly, check out the for sales here. Otherwise i would be shocked if u couldnt find the jazz for around 350 new instead of 500. Also check out warwick. They were the joker in the pack for me. I tried one fully ready to hate it and it was one of the best i have played! It inspired my custom build in all but aesthetics hang onto your cash and take your time. Otherwise you might end up kicking yourself
10. Out of interest as it hasn't been covered: Whats the policy on ballpark FS thread? Example: Looking for around the £1000 mark (or trade for a nice bass and cash adjustment)
11. Now gassing for: UBER GAS BASS
12. Started naming mine when I got the acg for a laugh. Basses are shes, guitars are he's Acg: Evelynn Strat: Alfred Pbass unnamed at the moment and I plan on giving my amps butch names or butch lesbian names lol Incidentally my car is called Bernard. Simply because Bernards down break down and cry
13. A little bumpitybump to remind people these are still here! Great sounding mics for any use. Rik
14. Not sure how it has slipped under the radar but a standard P should fit in great and only 1 pup 2 upgrade if u so desire!
15. Ah I see what you mean, on the right hand side of the page there is a box asking for letters where you need to enter in order to download the file
16. hmm, i succeeded earlier today. Will check in the mrning mate
17. Hear the bass here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YQF2H852 Im open to offers and don't bite. I tried a strat today so take advantage of me while I have the ubergas

19. How about metallic blue to black? Just an idea to throw into the fray
20. Hey all, Since getting this kit my sound engineering has tailed off. In doing so I have only used it about twice. Great if not perfect condition. Digital Village show this at the lowest price usually: Shure Drum Set From experience they sound great. Far better than I expected for the cost and IMHO £200 is a steal for this set. If it werent for a trade that I am trying to close a deal on Im pretty sure I would hang onto these despite not using them! Usual shure quality at a steal of a price. Offers/Questions are welcomed. Snap them up before someone else does! Rik
