You really do do yourself an injustice by saying your crap. If the pictures were rubbish I would have been less inclined to go with you as a luthier. However the basses looked great and the pictures show that. Rubbish isnt the word I would suggest. More "honest"

I can honestly say I was quite underwhelmed by the unicorn basses not my kinda thing

Off but get a custom pickup "cover" and take off the old black one and replace it with a matching checkered one Or white

And believe me it gets worse as it goes on. I considered a shuker when I was ordering a custom bass but I just fell in love with the ACG finn shape, the pics, also at the time people were talking about big delays in the shuker route. Had a chat with Alan and I was sold. I honestly cant see myself selling my acg and I dont even have it yet. Oh and I actually think Im going to miss asking about progress reports because you get such a good feeling when you hear whats recently occured. Not that I usually have to ask mind...

Ive played a gig to about 50+ people with my 300w line6... Overkill had it up about halfway in the end but sounded great Ive also played to about 300 people through my old ashdown 30w perfect 10, mic'd and through PA. Sounded absolutely brilliant, punchy as hell!

I really have to admit even with my 4 string I use the entire neck with songs I write. The solution, I need more strings! Got the acg soon covering the 4 so soon ill get more

It really is a little bit of both, I was plugged into a mesa head in the gallery and trying out various basses. The Sei although lovely to play sounded a bit polite, the status sound great but lacked... grunt I suppose (I wasnt playing with the amp at all). At this point I thought that the amp was a bit of a letdown. Then I plugged In the 5 string dingwall jazz. Omg what a sound.... Lesson learned, make sure YOUR bass sounds good through the amp your considering!

a long while back someone posted a link related to holding a pick and wrist motion. I cnt recall what it was called though

Are you sure that your holding the pick right? How you rotate the pick as needed and bend your thumb/ fingers you should be ok unless your wrist motion is way off.

If your tapping does it really make THAT much difference? Id worry more about sound and playability if you wanted it particularly for tap. I personally love the trb1006 but iirc it wasnt particularly thin. A grand will get you a LOT of bass. Check out the for sales regularly!

Good luck with the band. I would be interested but i have far far FAR too much already going on. A covers band, originals band and now possibly joining a gigging band in rushden.... Oh and work! Let me know if when ur gigging as im always up for a gig.

I havnt unfortunately. I have the Line6 Lowdown 300Pro and would advise giving that a try but id love to hear the HD750 through a 4x10. Could be quite nice.

I had a maplins iron, it was rubbish. I need to resolder my 6er as a mate of mine really messed up the job. Really CBA though lol

I guess im lucky in the fact that the one I keep going back too will be coming to me although a shuker has caught my eye... if only i had the money
