Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! No one EVER looked good playing a "keytar". NO ONE. EVER. EVER EVER EVER!

I used to know their original keyboard player (Matte Black) but haven't seen or heard from him in ages and think he left them a few years ago. They pop up on my fb feed every now and again. Defo not my cup of tea music wise but they do seem to put plenty of effort in. Hope it goes well for you.
Yeah, I've met Matte. He still comes along to a few gigs, nice fella!
Any gigs in London coming up?
I thought we did but seemingly not! These are the shows we've got booked up
Not really my kind of thing but I've forwarded your link to a friend, it's right up her street. You need to get one of those keyboards you can wear on a strap & have a guitar type neck for holding onto!
Unfortunately I've just blown a decent some of money onto a new keyboard but a keytar is definitely on the cards for the future! And thanks for sharing it!

Well I've finally managed to find a band that looks like it's going somewhere! Especially from how our manager is talking! However, bit of a change of instrument as this time around I'm playing keys! We're playing symphonic metal (female fronted) and the band is called Curvature. Got a fair number of gigs lined up and talk of a bit of travel in our near future. Have a listen if you fancy (old lineup) : https://open.spotify.com/track/50xP7OkCpuZsGdOtONBKWj Facebook is here if you like it! https://www.facebook.com/CurvatureOfficial?fref=ts

That's so strange, I've never had an issue with mine at all... Got me a bit worried though! (Touches wood!)

NIN - The hand that feeds Korn - Word Up Both simple enough, both a FANTASTIC buzz when you play live and you'll be remembered

Advice on where to start with looking for a six-string bass
Failing that, a Yamaha RBXJM 1 or 2 would be perfect. The JM1's are quite well known for being heavy though. Can be had for less than £400 and are top quality instruments that look a little more 'metul' than the TRBs.
Yup, my RBXJM1 isn't going anywhere! -
Just had a listen, wow that is absolutely dripping in pitch correction isn't it! Personally musically it's reminding me more of DaftPunk than MJ. I can hear he's trying to be MJ though with all the little vocal noises in there.
Which why I find the "All The Gear And No-Eye-Deer" thread hilarious! When I started playing synths in the early 80s, the most basic entry level instrument cost at least £250 and that was for a monophonic single oscillator and single envelope generator synth. If you prepared to forego a proper keyboard you could get The Wasp with 2 oscillators and 2 basic envelope generators but a proprietary digital interface so you couldn't hook it up to any of you CV and Gate analogue gear - that is if you could afford more than one synth! If you wanted polyphony, patch memories and a decent sounding synth you were looking at something that cost the same as a small terraced house!
Yikes, well I'm glad I'm not looking at things quite that extreme. My ideal keyboard going forward is still clocking in at over 2k though!
Not really my area of expertise but could you try and find a broken version of your keyboard on eBay or just a cheap one and play around with options? To get plastic to take a decent change of colour, thinking the back keys more than white you would likely have to put a decent base coat on them. I imagine this isn't done on a major scale as there must be thousands of keyboards out there that all have keys that are different in some way or other, If you need 9 unique keys per keyboard then that's a lot of spares to hang onto if you have each one in 20 colours. Also as an electrical item no manufacturer is going to want the average Joe taking it apart and tinkering with it.
Unfortunately even broken versions of the keyboards I have aren't exactly cheap I've just recently realised that as a bassist I had it relatively easy financially!

I really like that! Colouring in the back of the headstock is a bit different but looks good too!

FACE A is a bit of a funny name for an album isn't it?

Slightly yellowy silver is the technical name I think
Charic - Is an Ebony Fretboard brighter tone-wise than a Rosewood? All my previous basses have had Rosewood boards so this is my only point of reference! Thanks a mil.
] I think Ebony is supposed to be the brighter of the two, personally if it was my bass I would probably specify lacquered ebony though as I prefer lacquered fingerboards. They just seem to have an extra clarity to them -
I believe its a special edition from Korg..... I think the stand is from Ultimatesupport.com
Goddamn, Hmmm... Korg owe me a favour bloody glitchy keyboard! I'll look at the stand, cheers!
My mate has just set this up for a tour -
Very nice! A few questions if you could pass them on... How did he get the keys replaced? What stand is that?!
Have to say, this took me by surprise. I was about to type "just Google it", then I thought, no, I'll Google it. Hmmmmm. I was completely unable to find anyone supplying keys or key overlays in anything other than white and black. And it wasn't easy finding them, either. That's not what I expected. Surely there HAS to be a market for such a product? Why should you not be able to re-finish your keyboard in orange and blue if you want to? If I was younger (and had more ambition) I think I'd look into this as a business venture.
It's really taken me by surprise that this doesn't exist.. maybe I've been spoiled by being a bass player Also googling it is bloody frustrating as you generally get results for qwerty keyboards! Dammit, I wanted to change the white to black and the black to lime green
