1. Try holding the note with a different part of your finger. A softer part of your finger might not make the same noise
2. I originally called it the composition challenge because that's what my lecturer called it when we did it at uni That's the whole reason, nothing more special than that I'm afraid
3. Just ordered 3 new sets now I'm back in a gigging band. I don't expect each set to last more than a month to be honest :/
4. I think we should just keep the thread running to be honest
5.
Would be nice to see it locked until December 26th.
Why?
6.
Cream would be an excellent choice, but pearl is only acceptable if you're playing country, dad-rock, or you are a pimp.
I must be a pimp [sharedmedia=core:attachments:148729]
7. Cheers Rob, yeah I'm really looking forward to it! Just realised I'm now in a band that's older than I am thougg
8. We wont remove the thread (as we generally don't), if it stops getting responses then it will naturally sink. Might be worth renaming it something that makes sense though
9.
Yup.
Thank god it's not just me!
10. Any Stephen King fans about who are also now thinking about "Blaine the mono"?
11. Sod that... done that last year. It's seriously messing with my running now!
12. An eventful day indeed yesterday, I had an audition with a new band yesterday and long story short got the spot. I seem to be falling into a more electronic/punk thing this time. The audition soon seemed to turn into a rehearsal/writing session. Very laid back but energetic, HUGELY enjoyable and the upshot of it is it looks like I'm going to be playing some great venues in the very near future as I have been asked to join the band! So, ladies and gentlepeeps it looks like I'm going on my first tour with my new band "Naked Lunch". Let me know if you'll be able to pop by any of the dates!! You know I love the added pressure of lots of bassists in the crowd
13. If you get a bit stuck drop me a mail, I've got the email for the head of the customer service department now
14. I honestly can't see you beating the Juno for VFM secondhand. For pub use it should be more than good enough, probably most recording too tbh and you can do midi control through it at a later a date if you still need too. In the keyboard world £200 is nothing if I'm honest. A new passable gigging keyboard for a beginner is probably going to start around the £800 mark. The double edged sword in the keyboard world is that things depreciate so bloody quickly! So a keyboard that retailed at £800 3/4 years ago will probably be around the £200-£300 now!
15. Roland Juno D should be more than good enough http://basschat.co.uk/topic/228869-roland-juno-d/page__p__2448031__hl__keyboard__fromsearch__1#entry2448031
16. To be honest it might be worth trying a dirt cheap Yammy or Casio if you don't need anything special. Failing that a second hand keyboard should still fit the bill
17. Here it is : http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254293-for-sale-korg-krome-61-in-ltd-edition-red-as-new-inc-stand-and-extras/
18. Depends how deep you want to go and what you're after but IMHO you might be better off just getting a second hand keyboard, there was a reasonably priced korg on here the other day
19. Peavey Millenium BXP, loved it for quite a while but the neck was a bit too thin for me and it had to be moved on
20.

Still got it bookmarked I see?
21. There's something about it that makes me want to dislike it but I find myself liking it.... I'm confused
22. I think at that budget maybe a second hand Yamaha TRBX 505 should fall into budget, especially if you're not a fan of the look of the BB range
