5. Nobodies calling for a change of picture Just that we're going to struggle

7.
Aint got a clue what im doing with my amp eq or bass eq. Ive got Ampeg Portaflex500 and Shuker bass with ACG eq which is high mid cut/rain, low mid cut/gain. I really have no clue what im doing and leave both bass and amp on one setting all the time. Been playing for 7 years now, played in a band but never gigged. I can play "well" but its just the tone I cant figure out. Im sure I could pick it up in an hour or 2, offering £20 for an hour of your time, if you think it would take 2 hours ill offer £30. Kind regards Chris - Lives in Doncaster, works in Wakefield, hangs around in sheffield. Feel free to text me on 07921074406 (no spam)
What sound are you trying to get? What's lacking at the moment? I know the ACG EQ pretty well and should be able to help on that front
8. Hmm... now that IS odd... Can you try tomorrow please? One in the top box and 4 in the box below is what you're doing?
9. It wouldn't let you? It should have allowed you 5 people at a time? How many people are you trying to message?!
10.
I'm getting this message: You have sent the maximum number of private messages per day that the administrator allows. So I can't send more than 10 PMs in a day? What's that about?
You can't start more than 10 PMs a day (that's how it's always been). I can change that too but I have to be careful incase a bot gets in etc
11.
Would anyone be interested in an 'FX Trying' area? If I was to bring a lot of pedals, setup a couple of headphone amps and people can chain a few bits together and try out? Or are people not fussed about effects in Herts? Si
Yes defo!
12. Add £9 to your budget http://www.gak.co.uk...CFY_HtAodJhwAKw
13. Honestly, I'm not a fan. Looks too "stingrayesque" and I'd want to do something more out there and want it to be my own Just IMO ofcourse
14. Sorry to hear this Nige, seeing you play with Kit was one of the best nights out I've had. Best of luck with new ventures and don't throw in the towel. It's not fair on the rest of us to deprive us of your talent now we know it's there buddy. Onwards and upwards as they say
15. You could sit outside your door on a rocking chair with a shotgun. You might not get the sale though
16. I'm going to look into possible solutions for this in both the current and next version of the software and hopefully I'll be able to figure out a way of a developer adding in the functionality that we need to be able to keep all parties happy. Or doing it myself if I have too! Someone (the name slips my mind, sorry) has come up with the idea of a "bump" button which is actually rather excellent and could solve more of our issues than you might expect. What I really need to emphasize though is that the forum software is the limiting factor, seemingly simple concepts are actually much more complex than anyone would have expected them to be. I will do all I can, as will the rest of the team but it really isn't going to be an overnight solution and I definitely can't put a date against anything be completed as of yet. Please keep ideas coming forward, feel free to PM me and we'll see if we can all work together to create the best possible solution
17. This would be an ideal test for a Kemper Profiling Amp
18. Ah I see your point! Luckily I like overkill Although being able to switch between SVT, Orange and Mesa in the duration of one song is pretty appealing
19. The one thing you have to bear in mind with these things is that the people using these rigs you mention have a monstrous PA behind them. Is the Kemper going to sound as good through a small PA at the dog and duck? You'll probably need a fairly decent cab or Power Amp/Dedicated Monitor in order to do it justice.
There are plenty of cheaper alternatives that can provide ready made amp profiles that will do the job live.
But that's one of the beautiful things about the Kemper, you can make your own profiles!
So yeah, back to my original question, have any of you bassists out there used one at all?
If I remember correctly I think Winterfire here is using a Kemper
