3.
Good stuff, at least you know he's alive. Being alive makes it easier to finish a bass.
Unless you want a Warwick Vampyre?
 4.
Well, glad it's back, thanks Charic Would still be interested as to why it disappeared in the first place
I'm trying to find out myself. Although it is possible that it was a slip of the finger by a mod reading through the thread
 5.
Maybe the mods can explain?
Read above
 6. Although, if another mod closed it for a legitimate reason one of the GMs or admins should know why. If you have any questions just ask
 7. It's back now, I've seen no reason for it to be gone so I've brought it back live As you were
 8.
open C on a 5-string is a little under 31Hz
..and they were doing so well
 9.
Because nothing "off-the-peg" is what you want.
Close, in my case it was because the "off the peg" option of a similar specification would've cost me more than going custom
 10.
there is NOTHING out there with the power/weight ratio of my Peavey combo
Is it really low powered and very heavy then?
 11. And to prove I WAS working on something here's the intro and verse draughted up on mine (I intend to finish) : THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY
 12.
Apparently its rated to 1600w
Ooooo I want to plug my Kilo into it and load up the tech 21 XXL again
 13.
Ok, my set up.... A PJB M300 amp (450 watts at 4ohms), 2 x PJB 4B cabs.... Plugged into the amp is my Boss GT10B, I have a splitter pedal attached to the boss which my Ibanez SR300 fretless and Ibanez SR1000 feed in to. My issue... If I leave the limiter switched on the amp the volume is tiny, and if I turn up the volume just a bit it gives out a hideous croaky noise. If I leave the limiter off, the gain on the active input it still set quite low or the overload flashes, however, the main volume can go to a decent level and throws out some good bass sounds. For gigs, I can go through the PA if I need to, but our PA is quite old and I'd rather rely on my own gear. Will I be damaging my amp if I permanently keep the limiter off? The volume is pants if it's on. Also, as long as I keep the overload light from flashing, am I going to be OK. I really thought when I bought the PJB gear that I was buying a kit to last me for life, now I'm wondering is it really the best thing for me. Any advice gratefully received.
Is there a mix or volume setting on the limiter? Might be worth looking into your settings
 14. Woohoo things are nearing completion! I should probably bug Jon again
 15.
I'm glad you posted this so I don't have to!
I hate correcting spelling mistakes but searching the internet with a wrong spelling wont help a lot
 16. I'm not usually one to correct spellings but it will help your search. You want "pedals" not "peddles"
 17. I'd like to see what they could do with a full valve bass head
 18. With a standard 4 string bass you might get away with a cheapy but IME once you add detuning or a low B into the equation you're going to want the better tuners
 19.
Couldn't disagree less
So you couldn't agree more?
 20.
I just tried mine with the preamp valve removed, and it didn't work. So yes
21. Why don't you just get a pre-amp with a passive option? Lol
