  1. I can't speak for quality as I was a bit swamped but there was a company opposite the BC stand at the LBGS offering Quad In-Ears for approx. £500, I think they were called Mercury?
  2. Are you following a forum maybe?
  3. Could we be on for a BC first? Everyone agreeing?
  4. Well I've got some (unmoulded) ACS headphones at the moment that are pretty good and will do for now I'm pretty good at planning out my purchases and what I'm after. The nice thing for me and the Helix/IEM route is that I do a LOT of keyboard playing too and a lot of my spare time is also home studio based
  5. I got sidetracked every time I meant too! I was going to see what the difference was with Quad+ headphones too ...And I've already had it off of him Unfortunately, everything is in boxes at the moment but I might be able to hook it up to the PS4 or my phone just to see what it's about!
  6. Maybe I'm not articulating myself all that well. Budget line isn't what I'm trying to get at, more "this is the basic model which starts at £XXXX, then you start adding options" It gives you something to start at, makes things more accessible and tempts people in at a "lower price" before they start adding in fancy woods and expensive electronics
  7. Oh yeah, I know they won't be "cheap" but using Shuker as an example. His entry level instruments seem to be priced around £1700 where as some lines start at £3000+ There were quite a few luthiers where their cheapest offering was over £5k, I'm not suggesting they offshoot into budget instruments but seeing what the baseline is can actually be quite helpful (as well as demonstrating what extra you get for their more pricey instruments)
  8. Maybe I should get in touch with him a site for a bass I think Bernie could do well at LBGS, there were a lot of OTT luthier show off pieces (understandably and I enjoy that) but I think what I would like to see from more exhibitors would be an example of a show off piece, mid range and a low end (by their standards) instruments
  9. There will be differences between FRFR solutions but the difference between FRFR solutions will be a lot smaller than between cab solutions. This is purely because different cab companies have a different tonal goal in mind. FRFR cab companies have one tonal goal in mind "what goes in is what comes out"
  10. You don't see much from GB these days. I've only played a few but they have a great sound
  11. Oh weird! I didn't even know it made a sound! I'll have a look at that for you. Let me know how you get on
  12. When you say notifications do you mean the little ones at the top of the page or a little message while you're on a page saying that someone has replied etc? If you're getting notifications from threads you've previously followed then you need to manage the notification type for the old threads. There's a screen somewhere for it but I can't recall where off the top of my head and can't look right now
  13. Welcome to the forum Not been to the shop for a good few years (but then I've not been in many shops for a few years!) but it's a great little tardis of a place. Glad to have you on site and see some of the quirky basses you have knocking around the place
  14. Is it possible that they're a bit "zingy" because you were playing on the quieter end of the spectrum??
  15. Is this the chappy? https://www.basschat.co.uk/profile/8802-6feet7/
  16. There's no "list" on the version. But there's a pretty comprehensive search tool. If you click on the search bar and then select members from the dropdown it should work
  17. Yep, I was working on some upgrades and dropped the ball. Working on getting it restored now!
  18. Ultimately they're not keeping with the times at all, I can't name a new model, they're only tweaking old models AFAIK. You never see them in any social media and I think they're becoming associated with "old" music
