5.
Youth is wasted on the young
And given up too easily by the old
 6. I personally wouldn't recommend going to lightest, maybe a middle ground? Like 100's?
 7. Right... I thought it would be snapped up bloody quick at that price but apparently not. For a limited time, until something else of good value sells basically I'll be pricing this at the new lower price of... £425!
 8. That would really nice next to my RBX6JM... unfortunately a MOT fail and house move has sapped all my funds. Booooooo! Good luck with the sale
 9.
Thaks, I do mate, and I play guitar, bugger about with drums, and now beatboxing Jake has made music theory fascinating to me, I always thought it would be, like maths, you just need the right teacher.
Actually music theory and maths is a pretty good comparison I've never found it interesting personally but I've got enough to get by should I need it and know enough to learn more by myself if I am so inclined. It's a good place to be. I did hit a point where I couldn't "let go" and think outside of the theory I knew which turned into a problem for a good while though
 10.
I'm a decent player, I can write, play other instruments to a good standard, and I've got good ears. I don't know much theory and I don't read music well, but I thought my ears and experience compensated for those lackings. I play with some great musicians in amateur and professional bands. I've been playing for 30+ years. I really thought I knew some sh*t about music and playing bass. But having started taking lessons from Jake, I have had my brain fragmented, and we are in the process of putting it back together to create a new improved mass of grey sh*t in my bonce. I've realised that my lack of confidence was compensated for with a certain vanity, and a bunch of excuses. The fact is, I'm feeling like a musical baby now, starting with the very basics of music theory and building towards a proper understanding of my fretboard and harmony. I've imparted a fair bit of 'wisdom' on this forum about playing bass over the last few years, but looking back, most of it is utter bullshit, rubbish, imparted from a position of blind ignorance and sheer laziness, and a lack of ability to perceive the benefits of learning music theory and notation. I think I'm beginning to understand now. I feel like I have wasted decades f***ing and fiddling around, trying to unlock the fretboard through pattern recognition and reading crap out of various books without understanding why. I could have spent a little money on a tutor, and some focused time and energy, and saved years of aimless pissing twattery. I'd be a helluva lot better now if I'd have done that, and I'd have talked a lot less f***ing bollocks on here.
If you want to get your head around musical theory without it seeming incredibly dull I recommend taking up keyboard as a side hobby mate. The bass is a great instrument but it isn't a visual one. When you have those keys in front of you something just clicks IMO
 11.
I'm working on my own, currently. Sorry, but it will be a terrible arrangement of Midi instruments. It's all I can do (and I can't even do it very well).
So you're making a terrible arrangement of midi instruments badly? So... cancelling out the negatives here means that you're going to create a good arrangement of midi instruments well
 12.
Bugger, I would have had that... been keeping my eye out for one of these for a while
I'll put you down for 2nd dibs if it comes to it mate (pssst... go rackmount... check out the tc electronic g major 2... wink wink nudge nudge)
 13.
Not looking to trade for a Markbass LM3 are you?
Sorry, if I didn't need the cash I wouldn't be letting this go as it's a bloody handy backup to my hartke kilo, needs must though. Good luck with moving on your LM3 mate, cracking bit of kit

 16.
That's a seriously good price cant see this hanging around long mate
Cheers man Like I say, I picked it up mainly as it was cheap at the time and would have made a perfect midi controller for the G Major 2... there's a lesson there about making complex plans or summat
 17. Zoom B9.1ut - ABSOLUTELY MINT (out of box less than 5 times), was going to be used mostly as a midi controller for my TC Electronic G Major 2 but never got around to it. Cracking effects on it and the dual expression pedal is really easy to use! Looking for only £70 for it. Original Box etc... all included
 18. 1600w Quantum Matrix PA - Unused since I bought it off of a BC'er here. Was part of the plan to use the BFM DR280s with my metal band that I never got around to fitting drivers in. Comes with a 4U rackcase (one clasp - semi working, others are fine) thrown in. Looking for just £175

 21. I picked these up on BC a good while back and have honestly never got around to putting drivers in them. Exactly the same condition as when I picked them up. Genuinely gutted they never got put into use but moving to a smaller place now and have nowhere to store them. For £40 these are an absolute steal IMHO. Collection only (Huntingdon) please Some blurb :
Loaded with an Eminence Deltalite II 2512 woofer and a twenty-two tweeter melded array it offers performance unsurpassed by commercial cabs costing $2k or more, yet you can build it as shown for less than 300 bucks. Check out the 1m/1W SPL chart, which compares the DR280 to one of the better PA cabs on the market, the $2400 Turbosound TQ315
Piccies :
