It's a very different sensation to playing a Fender (at least any fender I've played). Anything particular that you're interested in? Warwicks can vary a fair bit between different models. The Streamer and the corvette are completely different animals imho
Thanks for all the suggestions. I hadn't considered Heil or Beyer so I'll look into those tonight. I'm increasingly thinking of going for a condenser though, the lighter diaphragm does automatically make it easier to make a decent mic and i love the airiness of the sound, even if it isn't for me. The Shure87 is looking interesting. any other condensers people have tried?
If you're looking at condensers you need to be REALLY careful and definitely test before buying. Also check to see if they're being used live in similar size places to what you're playing. Most condensers in a pub situation will feedback at the first opportunity (plus they're fragile)

Of course the correct answer is go and try a bunch out
Dom Littlewood is leading the investigation, I hear. Don't get done, get Dom.
Is that because people don't con Dom? So cowboy builders is responsible for young pregnancies?

Like! Will definitely buy an album (physical.. not a fan of these new fangled MP3 fingys) if you get one

If she has a quiet singing voice then the money might be better spent on singing lessons to be honest. I'll also throw the Shure 55SH into the mix and the Shure Super 55 too. Both have good feedback rejection. To my ears the Super 55 has a bit more range and clarity.

I've wrote a song... but it's no longer related to the pictures in any way
I popped into the Cambridge shop a couple of weeks ago - it looked like they already have.
I almost feel bad for pressing them for such a low price for my Kilo now -
Thump..... ( Bilbo's head hitting the desk)
Interesting idea for the percussion. Where are you planning on finding a similar method for the hihat though?

You know... I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one on here who LIKES rehearsing! The reason, I get to hang out with people I like and play music and have a laugh. Having done that we can go play some gigs too -

Hopefully I'll be up and running soon now that I've got my new computer Unfortunately Win8 and Protools don't want to play nice so some gentle persuasion is going to be necessary
