1. i don't understand what's wrong with it - although i reckon, if you shoved your cat up to the left a bit and unplugged the fig 8 lead from the diago when it wasn't being used, you just might squeeze your tuner on there.
2. found it - www.landingbass.com don't think they're particularly cheap and if you want one, i think you'll probably have to import it
3. landing make 32" scale basses although you don't hear much about them and i only know one person who has one
4. i thought that but I spoke to someone this morning who estimated around the ten quid mark and around a 14 day turn round. i know another guy in a local band who turns out to operate a cnc lathe and may be able to make me something similar
5. that would necessitate it having feet!! It hasn't got any at the minute and i'm not sure i want to start drilling holes in the board as it's got a sort of expoxy cover or something which i had replaced after the previous owner drilled holes in his and split all the covering.
6. i've been thinking about getting somebody to machine me one out of plastic or nylon - something the velcro would stick to and presumably cheaper than aluminium
7. http://www.stompin-ground.com/products/sgwahplate.htm Looks like a good idea
8. nice one - cheers for the tips. i found one site where i could have a half inch thick piece of foam cut to size and it would have cost me less than 2 quid inc VAT unfortunately, they wanted a tenner to deliver it
9. i might have a bash at putting something under the board so the pedals are all the same sort of height rather than having a couple at either end raised to fit the plugs in. the board on mine lifts right out of the case so it's a question of getting something to fit
10. i need to lift my board up in the flight case maybe half an inch or so to allow clearance for straight jack plugs in and out of the fx (ie guitar in to amp out at the other end). I was thinking of getting some sort of foam, but my concern is that it'll compress too much when i stand on an effect and will either bend the plug or be a pain in the butt cos the board moves around too much in the base of the case. Any ideas?
11. i've been looking at a way of attaching my crybaby to my board and have discovered that if i take the plastic bits out of the corner of my desk that you route the cables through, i can squeeze these in between all the feet and they're ever so slighty deeper than the feet - the velcro will attach to the plastic bits, but i just need to affix the plastic bits onto the base of the wah - probably will try the wrapping the velcro tape around the base plate option.
12. is this in musicianshop.com in the shires by any chance?
13. unless i am mistaken (and let's face it, there is always the possibility) the diagos run 3000 mA - you can double check it on diagos website but i couldn't be bothered! it should tell you on the back of your Diago anyway
14. i saw these on ebay a while ago and quite liked the look of them - there was some speculation as to whether they were worth the claimed 700-800 quid retail price and in fact if they were actually made in the US as stated. there were a couple of chinese examples that were identical but i can't remember who made them.
15. fave band are weezer - matt sharp era (ie when matt sharp was playing the bass!!) can't say i've ever listened to his playing in much detail, i just like the band and the blue album is still probably the best in my opinion
16. seen these? http://www.basscentre.com/cat/product_info...0b1a8eb4c55eef7
17. i've been using an ME50 with guitars for the last couple of weeks - some of the stuff is really useful and i imagine if you spent time putting the patches together and got a non latching footswitch to switch up/down through patches it would be really good using it on the hop isn't too hard although i still prefer single effects.
18. i'm going to remind you of that every time you say you want a Precision
19. the large beaver sounds about the best to my ears - take it it would be suitable for guitar as well as bass and active as well as passive bass? does the clip of the BYOC give a fair indication of the range of tones available? Don't suppose you've got any guitar playing clips?
20. Alive - Dave Grohl (Drums), Brian Setzer, Angus Young and Nick Oliveri (or possibly Jack Bruce or Lemmy) Dead - Moony, Paul Kossoff, SRV, Cliff Burton Possibly I still can't really decide.
21. anybody used the akai g drive? I'm in the market for a fuzz that i can use predominantly with a guitar, but also with a bass should the occassion come up Bass wise I have a Precision and a 3 band Stingray, but it will be used mainly with a guitar i've heard the g drive is supposed to be quite versatile, although slightly above my current budget. I've also been recommended on here to try a zoom ultra fuzz, but these seem to be quite difficult to get hold of also thinking of little big muff fuzz factory (possibly a bit on the expensive side) RAT Guitar rig, I use a clean/dirty valve amp and AB into another dirty valve amp and also have a keeley SD-1 so the overdrives are covered, i just want a sort of nasty fuzz now - i'd probably use it as nasty bass fuzz as well into my abm 300 (which does the sort of overdriven thing quite well) any other suggestions - or what have you? PM me if you might be getting rid of something
22.
i agree always hated p basses myself and the warwick rockbass range seems superb.
!!!!!!
23. i didn't know they did orange. i got red ones although i think i asked for blue ones. never mind. seems like a decent bloke that puts them together and did me a good deal on a couple of them
24.
loverllllllllllly board when i do those light pics, i cant resist having my deep impact on '69'........ meh im 19 im still allowed to be immature il post mine up soon, the omega fuzz and effector 13 are gone, onion solutions dual looper and ehx micro q tron are in...
i've just got an onion solutions AB and loop still on my desk at the minute and look to be extremely well put together.
25.
^ don't forget VAT, import duty and delivery costs when buying from overseas tho.
yeah but with prices what they are you should still save a few quid, especially if you can pick up a used one. you'd be unlucky if you imported one and didn't get significant change from £1400
