  1. JAZZ Bass Neck with Tele Headstock, but with "Standard" Heel, including Tuners. Left-Handed, 38mm Nut. £50 Posted. Now Sold. Please note: This sale is for a left-handed neck 38mm Nut, and left-handed tuners. I purchased this neck and tuners for a "Dusty Hill" type P bass, but I have since been abandoned the project and decided to move these on to someone who might make use of them. The neck is left-handed, and although it has a "Tele" shaped headstock, it has a standard rounded heel, not the usual square heel found on "Tele" necks, so this can be fitted to most standard P and J bass bodies. It's unfinished, so it will need a final sanding before applying any finishing coat, and the nut is not glued yet, but is included. The tuners are brand new from Northwest Guitars, they are quite decent quality, I've used these before and have found them to be very stable, staying in tune well.
  2. 2015 Lakland USA Series 44-51 Custom P Bass with Jazz Neck (38mm Nut) This bass plays and sounds absolutely fantastic, and is in beautiful condition. If you've thought about going down the Lakland route, then you will not get any better than this top-of-range model. Swamp Ash body with Birdseye Maple neck, and it comes with two original Lakland pickguards, one black (fitted), and one tortoiseshell (not fitted). Body Contours: Front and Back. Weight: 8.8lb (digital scales). Case included. These now cost $3680.00 US Dollars, which currently equates to £3434.80 British Pounds, plus import duties etc, and there’s also a very long waiting time. You are welcome to come and try it out at my home in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Collection is preferred, but I could possibly meet up somewhere in-between.
  3. Was the "ripped" speaker cone intentional, surely he could have got that tone some other way? Btw, I also love that tone!
  4. Messing around with a Jazz to make it pass as a Precision would be worse than playing the Jazz untouched. It's probably the neck that you like most about your Jazz, so just get a Precision or a Precision body, and put the neck from your Jazz onto the Precision body, I've been doing it for years because I prefer Jazz necks, you would also get a more authentic John Deacon P bass tone from the split pickup. Here's one of mine, this neck has been on a number of different coloured bodies because it feels so comfortable to me.
  5. It most definitely was Malcolm 'Harry' Wragg! We were called Stupidity, and although we didn't market ourselves as a tribute act, we only played Dr Feelgood material. I've attached a pic of us in rehearsal (not in the marquee), where you can see Mal on the drums.
  6. The drummer in my previous band has a farm in Little Hereford, Ludlow, and we used to rehearse in a large marquee that was set up outside his house.
  7. I'm a Shropshire lad living in the historic market town called Bridgnorth. 🙂
  8. Seymour Duncan SCPB-2 Hot Single Coil P-Bass Pickup SOLD! Purchased for an unfinished project. These are £109 new, so less than half price.
  9. I've read various threads regarding this subject, but because my brain no longer works as it used to, I'm still a bit confused. 🤔 I would like to apologise in advance for bringing this subject up again, but if someone can give me a definitive answer, it would be very much appreciated. Question: If I was to buy an item from Thomann or DV247 worth £200, how much would I actually end up paying?
  10. Genuine Fender Medium Jumbo Frets (Brand New) SOLD!!! Part No: 0991998000 24 pre-cut standard frets for guitar/bass fingerboards Pre-radiused to 9.5" Each piece .046" tall and .103 wide Still in unopened packaging.
  11. Genuine Fender Gold Anodised Pickguard for Precision Bass £40 Posted! Part No: 0992020000 (Made in the USA) I purchased this for a project, it was fitted just to see what it looked like, but I then removed it and returned to it's original packaging, so apart from handling, it is more or less unmarked.
  12. Dan purchased my Fender American Standard P bass from me, and I have to say that the whole transaction went through very smoothly. Thanks Dan.
  13. Fender American Standard Bass Tuner (2 Pin) £20 Posted! These are used on the American Standard basses, and I think on some other US models. This one has "A" stamped on it, so if you are after one, make sure your other tuners are the same because some have "B" stamped on them and they are slightly different in length, even though they look the same.
  14. You beat me to it, I was watching this myself on eBay, but I obviously hesitated too long. 😉 If I had bought it, I doubt I would have done anything to it because I used to own a Japanese Precision and it was superb in every way.
  15. Subscribed! and really loved the video "Let's Talk About Blues Jams".
  16. 4 x Hipshot Licensed CH Tuners Licensed CH B: HB6C Ch/Satin 1/2 (SET) SOLD! As new, apart from one of the nuts that has a few scratches (pictured), but not really that noticeable when fitted on the bass.
  17. Fender American Standard Precision Bass (2013) SOLD. I purchased this bass quite recently and it sounds amazing, but I really can't get on with the wider 'P' neck, so I have decided to move it on. As you can see by the photos, it's in fantastic condition, and you have to look very hard to find any marks/dings etc. No upgrades whatsoever, and comes with the original Fender hardshell case, complete with all the case candy. You are welcome to try it out at my home in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
  18. They do still make them to order, I ordered one through GuiterGuitar in February and it's arriving today, mine is in white with matching headstock. Yours looks great! GLWTS!

  20. I used to own a couple of Genz Benz Shuttles 210's which were great sounding cabs, but I sold them and purchased a Barefaced Super Twin as a "one cab" solution, but it just doesn't do it for me, which is why I'm considering going back to 10's again.
  21. Do you have the 2x12 Stu, the reason I ask is because I haven't actually purchased the 2x10 yet, and I'm wondering whether the 2x12 could be a "one cab" solution? I've owned 2x12 cabs in the past, but I tend to like the tightness of 2x10's.
