I hope it is living up to the billing for you.  I can't imagine what USA models will be like as they'll be a step or three up from the already excellent Skylines.  Enjoy your new bass :)

Not received it yet but I've purchased it from a well respected BC'er so I'm sure it will be nice, and most of the reviews I've read have said this model is about as good as P basses can get.

When I receive it, I will give an update.

    Same price.😂

Ultimately it's his call, he can ask what he wants. But you'd think a person who wanted to sell something would at least check what the market is valuing an item at.

It's definitely his call, but could it be a genuine case of mis-typing £9000.00 instead of £1900.00 and just didn't notice his mistake at the time, and then just copied and pasted his second listing, again not checking his listing properly? Or am I being too generous in giving him the benefit of the doubt? 🤔

French is my mother tongue and I studied Latin and ancient Greek, so certainly better than any translator. 😉

Just hope that the translator didn't make it totally impossible to understand... 😎

I know translators aren't great so its fingers and everything else crossed that it is understandable to the seller.

Here's what I wrote, how does it look to you? 😉

Send me the link in private mail and I'll do the translation for you. I used to be a member there.

Many thanks for the offer Hellzero, but I have just translated the page using the Google translate extension, I've managed to send a message to the seller so I'm hoping that I might get an answer, if not, I will get back to you for some help if that's ok with you.

    Cheers Brian

  5. I have just sold my acoustic guitar to Lee and I could not have wished for an easier transaction.

Great communication and a pleasure to deal with.

  7. I saw them at the Rainbow in 1974 and they were supported by Hustler, it cost £1 in the stalls.

I really liked Queen from the off, and still do, but the night I saw them, they were not great at all, I thought Hustler were the better band on the night.

Personally, I think it wasn't until after Band Aid that they really started to be a really great "live" band.

The best, so far, has been a really nice Mandolin from @thebrig. It’s kept me entertained learning a new instrument during the lock-down. I even took away on holiday during that brief respite we all had. I got a casual job as a beach-clearer.

The worst has been a new gig-bag. Bought in March, it hasn’t been out the house yet.

Great to see that you are enjoying the mandolin Neil, I was really sad to see it go, but after severing my tendons in a DIY accident, playing a mandolin is now impossible. 😐

  9. SOLD!

    IBANEZ AE245-NT Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Now £185 POSTED! This is a steal for such a lovely guitar.

I purchased this a couple of year's ago for just under £400 and have hardly played it, and since severing a couple of tendons in my hand, I now have restricted movement and find guitars impossible to play anymore.

This is a lovely guitar that is in absolutely mint condition for half the new price.

I will ship it in its original box.

Everything you need to know about the guitar can be found here:

One thing to consider is that while thicker gauge strings will have more tension they will also feel relatively stiffer on the short scale (especially as you move up the fretboard and the active string length gets shorter) than they would on a long scale bass, so it's a question of finding the right balance, as in lower tension strings will still feel stiffer on a short scale bass than strings with the same tension on a long scale bass.

Please forgive me if I've got the "wrong end of the stick" here, but I thought that the shorter scale length resulted in looser strings, not stiffer 🤔

  11. 👍 Thanks for all the comments and info everyone.

I've taken the plunge and have a Mustang on the way to me, but I still can't decide what strings to try on it. 🤔

The style of music I will be playing is "old-school" R&B/Pub rock covering bands like Dr Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, The Inmates, The Pirates, etc.
