1.
If I can get the funds sorted tomorrow then I will have this baby for sure Wish me luck Brian.. Brian
From one Brian to another, Good Luck Brian!
 2.
I've repaired a couple of basses - a new neck on an old 70's Japan, Matsumoko P bass I was lucky to get the loaded body very cheaply. I ended up with a lovely bass, sounded great, felt nice to play Sold it for a small profit (wish I'd kept the pickup though - sounded fab) But you're right - put a nice bass together from parts, and made nowt on it I can see how it's easy to lose money, building from decent components, sadly Just had to look at this again though - it looks a lot like the Fender MIM '50's P - but a fraction of the price Stunning colours & grain on that body
Yes, the body is exceptionally nice, beautiful grain and paint job.
 3.
If I may say, these photos don't do this bass justice, excellent though they are. I saw this bass in person and it is absolutely stunning, I was more tempted by it that the one I went to see! A real bargain at this price. Steve
Thanks for the kind words Steve, it's still here if you want to add to your collection.
 4.
Hey thebrig - you don't half put some cracking looking basses together! If I was looking for a nice gigging P bass for not too much dosh - I'd be all over this:) GLWTS
Thanks for the kind words Marc, I've put a fair amount together over the last few years, I just get so much pleasure sourcing the parts and then putting them all together, trouble is, I need to move some on so I can start all over again on a new project, and yes, I do usually lose money on them because I usually sell them for a lot less than I spent on on them.
 5.
Far too many Pack it in Brian I have enough basses, what does it weigh?
It's approximately 9lb 8oz which is due to the slab body, but it balances well and feels quite comfortable even with my back and neck problems.
 6.
Out of interest how does the 'Lollar Original P-Bass Single Coil' pickup sound?
I would say it's definitely punchy and cuts through the mix well, especially with the type of music we were playing at the time which was mainly classic rock, ZZ Top, Thin Lizzy, Bad Co, etc, but tone/sound is a very personal thing.
 7.
Nice! Gotta ask - what's the nut width? Looks jazz size...
Yep, you are right, I will amend my listing. Thanks
 8.
Lovely that!
Thanks

 11. This bass is exceptionally nice, whoever buys this won't be disappointed.
 12.
Where are you based? I'm extremely tempted to have a go on this.
Sorry Richard, but I've just sold the bass.
 13.
That's a bit tempting. Sorry too be that guy (lie ) but erm string tree.
Whoops, I should have gone to SpecSavers!!! Thanks for pointing it out.
 14.
I had a play on one of these in my local shop a while back - DEEPLY impressed by the quality, play-ability, tonal range - and just the overall presence of this bass!! If I hadn't gone the s-s/lightweight route, I'd have this in a heartbeat. Also, knowing the seller, I know this will be dead right. GLWTS
I hope you are well Mike, and thanks for the kind words, and yes, you are right, this is a beauty and it's a reluctant sale, but I am seriously thinning out my basses as I have far too many!
