1. I want to restring my recently required fretless. My preferences are;-- 1) Flatwound 2) Round core 3) No silk 4) No coloured ball ends Anyone know of any strings that meets all of the above? Cheers, Wilco
2. Both my Elwood's are angled back too. Thought that was a standard feature.
3. Was going through the pa with subs, so left one of the Super Compacts at home.
4. Nice! Remember to share the sofa shot when you get.
5. It is a great bass. Plays sooo very nicely - a beautiful neck. That pic doesn't really show the body wood of the 4 string, which is very nice too!
6. My two Elwood's ready to do their most awesome thing yesterday evening.
7. This is how you do the brown body / maple neck combination ?
8. I can happily flip between 4 & 5, but to keep that 'happy' status I have to play both regularly. If I have a period of mainly playing the 5, when back on the 4 my left hand can get confused between B & E!! ?
9. Digital Man - Rush just added!
10. Rush for me. Many in 'second' place but I've never followed another band with as much enthusiasm as I do with Rush, and that still remains after 35 years or so of being a fan. (Interesting that on this currently short thread, this is the fourth Rush mention already!!)
11. A Maruszczyk Jake with an Elwood neck? Would imagine Adrian could sort you out with what you want.
12. I really like this, but unfortunately don't have the cash ?. That's a great price for a most excellent bass. GLWTS type bump.
13. Assuming the PA has subs and you have a monitor, I'd use the Tech 21 only & leave the bass amp & cab at home. Take the XLR out on that straight to the appropriate XLR in on the desk. The Bass Fly rig has the Sansamp built in + a compressor, so you should get a good tone out of that set up.
14. Hi Andy, That is very decent of you sir, but I'll cover the postage at the very least. Preference would be a paddle type to match the other one on the bass. It's a 6 terminal on/on I think? Cheers, Wilco
15. I think you're all overlooking the fact that there is a guitar pick also included in the deal, clearly adding justification to the price.......
16. So, I've recently purchased a fretless because a) I got it at a great price b ) I didn't have a fretless & c) Because it was a Westone Thunder 1A which was the first proper bass model I had when I was a lad (although fretted version back then). Being a child of the 80's, there's a good few examples of pop fretless to start having a go at - a few Police songs for example. Then, during my searches for others I was reminded of the above song. The more & more I listen to it, the more I'm thinking what a perfect bassline. The tone, the funkyness of it, the spaces of bass silence just at the right time, the sublime fills, stunning outro section - it just fits the song so well & it's purposeful fretless with a groove rather than arty farty b****x. Now probably my favourite bass line of all time I reckon (to listen to - I've got such a talent shortfall to be able to play it...!). Nice one Pino.
17.
I had one too with terrible fretwork(can supply pictures if wanted), so I`m not fan of them...
I think I vaguely recall see your post about that either on this forum or another. Got to say I think you were very unlucky, & it's still the only adverse comment I've read about the build quality of Maruszczyk's. The top build quality is a factor of these basses that most people rave about. Both the necks & fretwork on my two are superb. I'd even go so far as saying in that regard, my 5 string is probably the best bass I've had amongst countless over 30 years of playing!! As I said, I think you were unlucky.
18.
First Maruszczyk with decent hardware, decent pickups and decent price I have ever seen.....
Really? The standard hardware is absolutely decent (got two, so can speak from experience), I'd say they always have decent electronics too (Delano, Haussell, Aguilar, Glockenlang - even the own brand pups are meant to be good) & the used ones i've seen on here always seem to be up for a fair price. Looks pretty much standard Maruszczyk top quality to me. If this was active, I'd have been all over it already!
19. Anybody replaced or got one of these to sell? If replaced, what did you use? Cheers, Wilco
20.
Nothing is really better than these Wilco just different,I also use Barefaced and Vanderkley cabs. Each have their different qualities, I am not desperate to sell the bergs it's just they are not getting used as much as they should and it would be nice if someone else good enjoy them and get some use out if them
Jeez, with all those quality cabs it must take a while to decide what to actually plug in to!!! Lol

22. Bloody awesome cabs these. Typically when I had one a few months ago I couldn't find another, but ended up with the equally great Barefaced cabs in my sig so things worked out. Be interested to know why selling though & what could be considered as better? Whoever buys these are going to be one happy puppy indeed!!
23.
Soooo tempted to credit card this bad boy.
Oooh, nice! Paint matched headstock though?
