  1. No longer required after a change of synth set up. A couple of small scuffs on front edge, but generally in great condition. Cables included. Many different uses for this, but I used for triggering background pads/strings or for getting my Moog Taurus thrills on!! Collection from Swindon, or posted at buyers preferred option at their cost.
  2. Got my additional 5 string need sorted by picking up this mighty fine BTB1905 Premium off eBay. Through experience, have become a huge fan of Ibby Premium’s & now have three.
  3. Anybody got one of these? If so, how hissy / noisy is your pre-amp, especially on the treble side?
  4. Alternatively, if anyone has one of these they are thinking of parting with…
  5. The right thing to do - lovely bass!
  6. Anyone increased their string spacing on a 5 string SR Premium? The MR5S bridge saddles allow for an increase from the standard 16.5mm to 18mm. I was wondering how much that effected the string alignment over the pickup pole pieces, & also how close the B & G strings got to the edge of the fretboard & did that make a difference to playability? My 2405W is such a joy to play with its 18mm spacing - no idea why Ibby doesn’t make that the standard on SR fivers… 🤷🏼‍♂️
  7. In need of another active 5 string, so seeing who might be interested in a trade for this lovely instrument? A couple of headstock dings & some wear around the top bout strap button, but excellent condition overall for its age as you can see from the pictures. Price wise I’ve had a £600 trade offer & sale interest at the £795 mark, so that gives some indication of value. I can add some cash into a purchase too. These days not much of a fan of plain painted basses - more into a ‘woody’ look if you get my drift. Would expect any deal to be finalised in person, but can get a very reasonable distance away from Swindon in an hour!
  8. A ton of bass for the money. Love my two Ibby Premiums. So light, comfortable, & a breeze to play. Nice quiet, & tonally flexible preamp too. What’s not to like.
  9. From the same company that produces Bacchus. Take it this is a passive bass?
  10. That is a cracking example of an iconic bass. Your pricing is spot on I think, but it’’s totally criminal that these haven’t appreciated in value by more over the years. My Thunder 3’s stack up against my other basses, all of which cost at least double the amount of the Westone’s…… And you add further class to your pictures by having Signals in the background!! GLWTS

    What bass?

    I think you’re right - an MTD
  12. Any body know who could do the above professionally? Cheers, Wilco
  13. I’ve had this beauty for a few years now. My only ‘traditional’ single coil pickup bass, & is so white noise free that I’d forgotten noisy pickups were a thing! 😆 Something similar if you could find one, would only be in your stated budget if it were used though. If it helps, the pickups & preamp are both Delano.
  14. The most I’ve spent is £1300 on my Spector (used), & I had to think long & hard about that. I have the resource to pay more, but to me the law of diminishing returns very much kicks in around that price point thinking of either new or used. My Ibby 4 string & the Maruszczyk were both new & were slightly less than the Spector. I seriously doubt another grand or even £500 spent on something else would improve substantially on those three.
  15. I had a maple necked one of these a few years ago. The only Fender I’ve ‘bonded’ with. Stupidly sold it - defo’s sellers remorse 🤦🏼‍♂️. Not in the market right now, but GLWTS - shouldn’t be around long.
  16. There has been a wider necked SR versions - the model number ends in ‘W’. I’ve got one - 18mm spacing.
  17. I’ve been a member of BC for 12 years. Generally in that time I’ve bought at least one bass a year (not always from here, but I think the Marketplace fuelled the GAS lol). The last one I bought was the Spector in September ‘21, so hats off to my current crop for removing the GAS & changing my mindset when I see something interesting to “no need”. I can’t say one of them is a favourite - they are all as good as each other in their own way (Westone’s included in that statement!).
  18. Will just put this on your radar as an alternative. Will not give you the option to try one out of course, but do some research on the brand instrument quality & there are very few complaints. Bonus are the configuration options obviously. https://www.public-peace-customshop.de/basses/jake-c/jake-c-type
  19. One I picked up off BC last September. My first Spector. Extremely impressed - loving the Tonepump circuit!
  20. I have two SR Premiums as per my signature. I’ve just taken delivery of a Boss WL-50, & the transmitter does not fit in the jack socket recess. 🤦🏼‍♂️🙄 I’m guessing I would have the same problem with the Line 6 G10sii? My Line 6 G30 transmitter has failed, so I could always buy a replacement. Before I do, thought I would ask what other wireless systems people use with their SR’s? (my Spector has active pickups, & not all wireless systems can deal with those, so I need to cover that too).
