7. Yes this one is absolutely not a last thing on a Friday model, the first one i bought was a disaster, so when i bought this one it was heavily scrutinised, but its absolutely perfect, someone took their time with it!
8. Two fantastic Aguilar DB112 cabs, one with a tweeter and one without, have seen light use, cabs are in fantastic condition top of the DB112 cab has some slight scuffs on the top from supporting his tweetered sibling but it's absolutely cosmetic and does not affect the sound at all, and the sound from these cabs is incredible! Both cabs have padded Roqsolid covers and these will be supplied. [s]£650 cash for the pair or will split at £350 for the tweeter cab and £300 for the non tweetered. No trades.[/s] NOW £600 FOR THE PAIR - £325 for the tweeter cab and £275 for the non tweeter cab. [s]Also selling the Aguilar TH500 for £425[/s] HEAD NOW SOLD. Cheers
9. Immaculate Aguilar TH500 never gigged and never left the house the poor bugger! Absolutely amazing sounding bit of kit but far too good to just be sat collecting dust, not a scratch or mark on it, comes with padded carry bag, power supply and all original paperwork / manuals. 500 watts at 4ohms, 250 watts at 8ohms. £425.00 cash, no trades, Also selling the DB112s if you're interested they'll have an advert in the list, £650 for the pair or £350 for the tweetered cab and £300 for the non tweeter cab. Cheers,
10. Hi guys, Selling this absolutely fantastic bass as I simply don't get the chance to play it and it's sitting in its stand as some kind of ornament and it's far too good for that. It's in "as new" condition no extra bumps or scratches have been added by me, comes with original bag and three sets of strings, the original set, a set of Ernie Ball flats and a set of Elites Ultra Lights, the bass was setup brilliantly by Mark at Dennis Todds who's put his magic touch on it and it really does play amazingly well, fantastic action and every note singing pretty. [s]£800 cash sale[/s] and no trades please, part of the reason I'm selling the bass is I'm working a lot in China at the moment so no bass is going to see any real playing time so a trade would be a bit silly. REDUCED TO £750 shipped. There'll be no further reductions Bass is in Newcastle. Any questions just ask. Cheers,
11. I hope you get it all sorted out mate, GAK in my experience have usually been good, that was until last month when I bought some strings from them, which on the website where marked as in stock and available on a next day delivery, when nothing showed up a few emails revealed that they weren't in stock and could i wait 7 days?... Sure, 30 days later (I forgot about them at this point) the strings arrive, my complaint got me my 57p postage refunded and not a word of apology. So their "LOL SOZ M8" attitude has lost them any of my future custom.
12. Probably the coolest thumb you'll ever see!
13. Absolutely stunning looking bass, I'd love it to have with my Jazz! Good luck!
14. That yellow one he has for sale would look real nice mounted on the wall... A shade over £50 might be worth a punt?
15. A complete bargain considering these aren't coming round again until October and with a £949 price tag, I love mine, its a sweet looking, sounding and playing bass, get amongst it!
16. Now that is a beautiful thing! Loving that matt black!
17. Fantastic job! You'll be sliding around on that all day! Looks superb!
18. My Warwick Streamer Stage 2 5er and my Dingwall Afterburner both had superb b's, the length of the string and the tension can only be one side of the story cause the Warwick's B string was alot more focused and powerful than the dinger. Funnily enough I find myself with no 5 string in my stable at the moment either, don't miss it just yet...
19.
It took me three days and a total of two full turns on the trussrod to straighten that banana neck that left the factory. Now the guy that will buy it will benefit from a 0.25 mm relief, a 1.25 mm action and a lemon oiled fingerboard courtesy of me!
I hear that! Mine is off to be setup tomorrow, I have already done a full turn and a bit on the trussrod and really don't want to crank it anymore, my action is definitely almost where i want it, approx. 1.25mm like yours but I can't stop the buzz in the A and D strings between the 13th to 18th fret range, the G and E strings are very low at 1.25mm and every note rings true, the 19th and 20th frets on the A and D when lowered to 1.25mm height play lovely its just the frets in between the 12th and those that don't play at that height and I'll be the first to put my hands up and say i don't know quite how to fix that, so off to a pro it goes. As i said before I really like this bass its exactly what i wanted in a jazz, BUT i still don't feel it was worth £882, I wouldn't have paid the £949 they seem to be retailing for now and if they push the price up again after that batch they're quite frankly taking the pish.
