1. Sold Will my Squire Vintage Modified Jazz Bass last week, he paid instantly, kept great communication and was an absolute pleasure to deal with! Cheers Will.
2. Going to cut my losses and take £150 + £15 Postage as i'm going to hopefully jump on a new *old* bass soon.
3. All PM's replied to. Really not looking for trades but thanks for the offers. If someone is interested but doesn't want to pay £195 throw me an offer. Wayne i'll let you know about the chrome knobs mate if a buyer turns up! Cheers.
4. Now Sold - Thanks for all the interest from all. I hope the buyer enjoys this bass as much as i have. Hey All, After much thought i'm going to let go of this fantastic bass, it's been my "at home" bass since i bought it, but i just don't see myself ever using it live or in the studio anytime soon and as i'm spending less and less time at home to sit and relax with it i'm going to let it go to someone else to save it from a life of collecting dust in my rack, Its a fantastically playable bass as all the online reviews and owners of them will tell you, the pickups are surprisingly fantastic sounding and the neck is a dream. I have a quick recording with me playing the bass on the only song on my myspace - www.myspace.com/callandbenedict Only very very slight markings on the back of the bass, nothing that wouldn't buff out certainly no chips or dings. I have put fender black knobs on the bass for that more vintage look and i will include the chrome originals. I'm wanting what i paid for it which was [s]£195[/s] £150 + £15 postage including Warwick Nylon Bag and Fender strap, or you can collect from the Portsmouth area, i will get the boys in the export and despatch department at work to ensure its well wrapped up and road ready. Thanks!
5. Nooooo i love love love that bass, why isn't it fretted!
6. Rick Astley is 100% Fake.
7. You might want to edit your thread title to say Corvette, not Streamer.
8. PM Replied mate, I'll get those photos to you today. Cheers.
9.
Just for the record, Hall Soothers have no active ingredents they are just sweets, get some Locketts
Just for the record Lockets don't come in Cherry Flavour. Lemsips make me better, Hall soothers just taste nice.
10. Yeah its a nightmare when people just mess you around after you hold on to Items for them, had an experience like that myself very recently, unforetunately there are a lot of time wasters! +1 on the having and feeling sorry for yourself thing! I'm here drinking umpteen Lemsip hot blackcurrants and i have pretty much destroyed 3 packs of Halls Soothers.... Bad times!
11.
Dirk Lance sounds like a porn star name
If you read the biographies from the Fungus Amongus era's thats exactly why Dirk chose that name, he was the only member to keep his "False Name" from that period. Thanks for the embed too!
12. Hey guys, Don't know if anyone else has seen these new videos on Youtube from Dirk Lances new band Willie's Nerve Clinic but thought some people needed to see these, two of the videos show Dirk talking about how the band came together and the general jist of their music, one video in particular shows him playing some songs off the record on a P Bass, and one showing him nailing an amazing solo on his 5 String Stage II so enjoy them for what they are, they're not Incubus, but Dirk's playing is as amazing as ever! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnmRBYv6e38 Dirk On The P Bass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln7fa0QAt0c Dirk plays bass at about 8:30 but talks throughout. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxJNak_8tSg Check out this video for his bass solo section! damn its awesome! If anyone knows how to embed these videos then it would be awesome if you could you sort that out? i tried and failed! Cheers.
13. Not a fan of that at all.
14. Price Drop to £30 Posted. I will get some pictures up tonight if people would like to see it!
15. Isn't this not the same guy who was trying to sell that red Warwick Fortress with the scratch plate for as long as Ebay had been running?...
16.
I used to go there as a kid in the mid to late 80s and I don't remember him. I used to flick through the vinyl downstairs and then go through to the instruments section. The shops in Swindon always seemed to have more of an attitude.
Ahh perhaps different decades then, im 23, so all my vists came as a teen in the 2000's, for all my nay saying, my first bass did come from Windows....
17. Boys got skills, no doubt about it.
18.
Please don't tell me Windows is rubbish now - I bought my first Squier there in the 80s and used to love going there.
Windows has never been anything but "rubbish" in my experience, they have always been unpleasent, especially the guy who looks like Neil from the young ones who stands the wrong way round at the counter facing the wall eating seeds.... Then again, now i live in Portsmouth i really miss having the choice of 3 or 4 shops to go mooch around at my will, as all i have now is Nevada and thats a car journey away. Guitar Guitar, and the now sadly defunct Soundcontrol where my favourites, even though it felt like Soundcontrol again in Guitar Guitar with George kicking around! Its been a year since i was last in Newcastle so i at least hope he's still there!
19. Such a damn shame when things like this happen. Most importantly as that bass is an incredible specimen. I hope it all works out positively for the guy who paid the money.
20. Hey Guys, I have given up *for the time being* looking for rack ears for my Little Mark Head and therefore i'm swapping and selling my rack mounted things in exchange for pedal variants. This is my trusty Behringer MDX 2000 rack mount compressor, extremely versatile, very low noise, will squeeze your bass to death if you see fit! Essential for slap bass and defining your notes! Great conidition, photos of the actual unit are available at request. Looking for £40 posted, or will happilly swap for a compressor pedal as i am ideally looking to replace this immediately. Cheers Guys.
21.
I was thinking the very same...
+1 That's a beauty you're letting go!
22. Just Bumping this as the 2x10 Sold this weekend to Greg, *4 strings* and i'm still looking to shift the 4x10, its on provisional Hold for *Without Risk Bass* who may be collecting it this Saturday, but if he can't hold to the sale, i do want it sold. The Cabinet is currently based in Portsmouth if you want to collect. Cheers.
23. I own a Vintage Modified Jazz and i wouldn never sell it, out of the 4 USA Fender Jazzes i have owned including a 60's reissue with a J Retro Preamp and Marcus Miller Sig, this is by the far the best player of the lot, its just so simple and great for finger style funk, i love it! Couldn't recommend it enough!
