1. Nice!! if that glows on stage under the lights you'll look A W E S O M E.
2. From personal experience i just can't enjoy a bass with more than 4 strings, I've had 5's, 6's and even given an 8 string FBEADGCF tuned bass ago! But i have never been able to get on with them. I agree with your point however, my band has a large majority of songs in Drop C Sharp and a couple in standard, while the guitarists all change guitars or tune up i just sit in C and move my notes up the neck!
3. love it... "Muddy Hips Hopkins" my main man Zender while not a strict Jazz player is an amazing bass player with an enviable name.
4. Tye Zamora - Alien Ant Farm..... An awesome nut job.
5. I for one am extremely happy, i have an '88 Stage II with a dream like neck, and thus far i have had to sell an '04 LX, '08 Double Buck, and an FNA Jazzman all because i couldn't handle the fat neck, and i have big hands... Very wise decision Warwick.
6. Thought i may as well join in here too! my latest rig, very loud, compliments my Warwick very well, seems to love my Drop C Sharp tuning so naturally i'm very happy! I haven't gigged this yet, however my band has two gigs in one day today! so its going to get a good testing!
7.
VMJ GAS is getting worse. Maybe I should get one before saving for a 400+...... hmmm
For under 200 sheets mate you can't go wrong, its a seriously fun bass.
8. Not the best photos in the world as they're off my phone but here is my new Rig for my bands upcoming gigs and recordings. The Warwick is tuned Drop C sharp and the Jazz is in standard, the Markbass head is really really ridiculously loud! Beautiful! I haven't gigged this yet, but my band has two gigs in one day down in Pompey in the afternoon and then Southampton in the evening! *controversial?* both happening on Saturday the 15th August! Can't wait! For all the Pompey boys i'm playing Havant Arts Center for the Sounds of Summer festival, if you're about come and let me know what you think! 5 bands during the Daylight Sessions with my band headlining! any way enough waffle! Have some pictures!!
9. Its not exactly relevant to the sale of the bass but i think this is the first Jazz bass that made me say "wow" Gorgeous! very fond of that headstock too!!
10. Thats a very interesting looking bass, i have never seen one of those before.... Far too blonde for me, but good luck with the sale.
11. Nevermind that! look at how much he sold this rusty box for, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=290315708163 the guys raking it in! or of course for £6000 more you could have a less rusty one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1965-Dallas-Range-Ma...n%3D8%26ps%3D33 Beautiful history though, check out the hand drawn schematics!
12. I'm a self confessed Headphone Geek, for recording or practicing bass i use my AKG K141 Studio's they're just awesome, *check out the end of the film Bruno for alot of AKG K141 love*, when i really need everything flat and level i use my Beyer Dynamics, for listening i predominantly use Sony MDR V500's as they can be laid out flat with their movable housing, but these are terrible for recording as they're pretty treble biased but great for trains and when you want to ignore the existance of other human beings, i have various pairs of Sennheisers lying around but i have never got on with them, the 202's and 205's are very bass heavy and i can't wear them too well, they're not great for recording with, i have a pair of Sony MDR V150's and for £12 they blow the Sennheisers out the water. But for the £70 they cost me the AKG's are essential.
13.
I have one and it's a great pedal if used subtly and sensibly, although sometimes some out and out whacky distortion can sound cool too.
When i buy one of these pedals its going to be used to back up our rhythm guitarist on my bands louder songs and harder chorus', my Markbass head gives me a fantastic driven sound with a gain boost but i need a dramatic distorted shift when everything kicks in, should be ideal....!
14.
Second dibs if it goes tits up please!
Hopefully it wont i have been wanting one for a while now, and thats a steal!
15. I'll have that. Send me a message and we can get the technicalities sorted.
16. These things are so powerful its scary. Serious props to a fantastic head and a vouch for Mike being a genuinely nice guy to deal with. Somebody buy this so i dont...
17. If this is anything like my Little Mark C then i couldn't recommend it enough, mine is louder than a Vox stack and a marshall stack on volume 1, its insanely powerful. Good luck with the sale.
18. My Entry? Lost in the moment, sucking my lip hoping my slide up the neck actually lands on E. The only ironic thing about this photo other than my white glasses is the fact me and the guitarist are facing our drummer and not the crowd and neither of us realised! doh! completely lost.
19.
I recently bought one of these VM Jazz basses. Excellent bass for not a lot of money.... BUY IT!
I second that, I paid £175 for mine second hand too and i don't regret the purchase for a second, the bass is incredibly fun to play. Well recommended.
