Seem to remember they were quite cheap and cheerful when first introduced (2008/9 maybe?), but didn't get to try any of the range. Only item I've seen since then was in a Cash Converters somewhere...

Mott the Hoople's (David Bowie) song 'All the Young Dudes' mentions T.Rex ( as well as the Beatles and the Stones ) 'Jackie Wilson Said' by Van / Dexy's. I'm not crazy about the look of clip on tuners either to be honest, but much prefer that to having a pedal / extra cable in my signal chain and maybe compromising my sound :-)

Snark clip on. Accurate enough, and no need to have a lead to check tuning. I have a few and they've all been 100% reliable. Gave up on rack tuners as just a bit too much faff. Also, no extra cabling needed between guitar and amp (or amp and tuner if you use tuner out etc...)

I quite like his voice to be honest. The gig shown last night proved how well he can sing, didn't falter once to my ears. The band were exceptional too, especially the drummer as mentioned above. Just watched the programme on ITV. Whatever you think of Robbie, still some great songs there. And a top band too, with Guy Chambers back in the fold on keys For me, Robbie falls into that category of 'quite like some of the music, don't particularly want to watch him perform it though' - along with Elton, Cliff, Buble etc.

Mine is an early 90's one, 230v. Was n't aware of any materials issues TBH. Love these amps though, it's a keeper.

Just got one of these, black with matching headstock. Used it at a gig last night. Wow! Fabulous bass, especially for the money. Serous threat to my Danelectro Longhorn....

Interesting also that no mention made of Chuck Leavell, Stones keyboardist and (unofficial?) MD, who has been with the band both live and in the studio since the early 1980's.

Agreed, so not a news item , especially with the implied racist overtones. Other bands which spring to mind whose set up is in a similar vein include Wet Wet Wet & The Mavericks. Seem to remember The Hollies once sacked singer Allan Clarke and then hired him on an ad hoc basis for tours and recording etc??

Sounds to me like you need the monitor. With a small one such as the Behringer you mention ( a copy of the Mackie SRM150) you have the option of running just your mike in and then out of it to the main mixer. By doing this you can add just enough of your voice into what you hear from the PA. This may turn out to be not that much to interfere with stage levels drastically, but can make all the difference to you. Also they are quite directional, so experiment with where you place it. This arrangement is also useful when you don't have the facilities for lots of monitor mixes ( auxiliary sends) on your mixer. In my pub band I use a JBL Eon 10 powered speaker in the same way, and can't now believe how I managed without it. Hope you get things sorted :-)

This can appear to mean 'relating or belonging to a profession', or alternatively 'engaged in a specific activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as an amateur', which is the definition that usually springs to my mind. And let's not get into figuring semi-pro....

I broke my shoulder / arm a few years ago, and playing bass guitar was not an option for a few months. I bought a Roland D5 synth off here, and my band very graciously allowed me to play my parts on this. Sounds were not 100% convincing bass guitar, but played through my bass rig and then into the PA it was fine. I didn't have anyone come up on gigs and ask why there were now 2 keyboard players in the line up, or comment on the bass sounds. A hideously low-fi solution I know, but needs must etc ,and as a pro musician it saw me through until I was well enough to return to bass guitar. I actually quite enjoyed the change to be honest, and found it liberating not having to wear a bass on long gigs. Was great to get back to my Stingray though.....
