2. Great basses these - any idea how heavy please?
3. Early Danelectro Longhorns did n't have a truss rod either - blimey!
4. Think a small number of the original MM USA Sub basses were available as passive along with the more common active models - maybe worth checking out which pots/wiring were used in those?
5. Thanks mate, but a tad too meaty for my knackered shoulder. Good luck with the sale, great deal for someone & looks a beaut too.
6. Also there are a lot of fake Duracells around, especially on t'internet.
7. Gutted. Saw The Everlys a couple of times when they were over here, (with Albert Lee on guitar) and they were amazing. Their influence was massive as stated in previous posts. RIP Phil.
8. Charlie Watts Al Jackson Any of the Motown guys - Uriel Jones/Benny Benjamin/Pistol Allen
9. GK RB1001 - not that heavy granted, but loud / portable / great tone shaping / easy to maintain etc etc. 700 watts into 4 ohms should see to most situations.................
10. Just considering the active or passive options. Any thoughts please?
11. Last few years we've done 'Please come home for Christmas' (Charles Brown/Eagles/BonJovi). I've done 'Run Rudolph run' (Chuck/Keef) too, little known but fits our band/audience well.
12. Hi Geoff, thanks for your reply. The P-bass Lyte Deluxe pickup (as in your pic) won't fit my Lyte without removing some wood. Just wondered if say the Dimarzio was compatible with the rest of the stuff in my bass so I don't also have to replace the front pickup and active preamp. Anyone know the impedance of standard Precision Lyte pickups please?
13. Am considering changing the pickup(s) on my 96 P-bass Lyte. They sound great, but the rear (jazz) unit seems to collect a lot of unwanted noise in certain venues we play, so was thinking of swapping this for a dual coil jazz sized pickup that fits the cavity with no routing. My options are a)Ideally just replace the rear pickup b)Replace both pickups with a matched set such as EMG etc , maybe with a new preamp/controls too if needs be. So what I need to know really is whether the rear pickup can successfully be replaced whilst retaining the existing front pickup and controls/preamp etc. Also anyone know the spec of the pickups and suitable replacements (passive or active). Let me know if you've had experience of doing this to yours. Many thanks in advance.
14. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the most recent pages (nearly 7 of them) in the 'Items Wanted' section have not seen any replies? Am guessing this is because people who are n't registered to sell on here are unable to answer?

16. In our country band we have a weekly Thursday night residency. Usually in the first set, we have a feature called 'its not country but....' where we play something (usually a pop/rock song) that's well known but in a country style. Most have worked well - recent ones being 'Valerie', 'Don't you want me baby', 'Fat bottomed Girls'. As in previous post, songs are there to be altered if you feel like it and it works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OF4NOdbBLo
17. Some versions of the Hohner B2A (Steinberger design) have an XLR out. Never used it on mine though............
