  1. Can’t believe I’m doing this one - Ding a Dong - Teach In (Dutch Eurovision winner 1975, sorry!)
  2. A lot of theories on this one, although think Warren Beatty was the favourite. Mick Jaggers sang backing vocals on the track, and was rumoured to be Keef playing guitar on the outro too.
  3. Shake your groove thing - Peaches and Herb
  4. I've depped a few times with a rock n roll band. They used to have a trailer with the PA and leads in it, and when it was unlocked the band made a mad scramble to get the best leads! Made even worse by them only buying cheap sh*t cables anyway, so you can imagine why the working ones were in short supply. Fortunately being a dep I didn't need to involve myself in this, but was just amazed how some bands can't organise the proverbial p*ss up in a brewery.
  5. Absolutely - I mean, why would you? At best the risk of damaging your amp/speaker, at worst possible death.
  6. And they're always the pink and lime green ones too aren't they? 😅
  7. Marina - Dean Martin (for those old enough to remember British Leyland...)
  8. From my experience it's usually the guitarists who have them in the first place....😅
  9. Yes, good call sir. I’ll also add brightly coloured instrument leads - yes I know that dayglo pink makes them easier to find at the end of the gig, but just wrong, okay? 🤢
  10. Welcome to the working week - Elvis Costello
  11. Pretty sure the one I had was 4 ohms. Great cab, you really wouldn’t need to run it with another one. 😄
  12. Just seven numbers (can straighten out my life) - The Four Tops
  13. Great band. Once heard that the song was not about an unfaithful relationship but apparently written about the bassist moonlighting with another band who were trying to get him to leave Ace. Don’t know how true this is mind.
  14. I can’t stand this too. Along with those people who can’t restring it properly, and winding too much string on the post so it overlaps. Can’t stand basses being propped up against an amp or a chair either, especially onstage! Get a stand for crying out loud. Also straps that are not adjusted properly (or just too long )leaving a section extending past the strap buttons. 🤨
