2. Yes. Apparently all this goodness comes with: • Neck: Maple/mahogany through-the-body • Fingerboard: Ebony, 500mm (20”) radius • Frets: 24 • Scale length: (889mm) 35” • Pickups: Two Alnico V double coils, piezo pickups in bridge • Controls: Master volume, piezo volume, pickup balance, active three-band EQ • Bridge: Brass BPZ-7 type with five piezo-loaded saddles/string anchors
3. Toe in the water. New bass means I am not much playing this. It does sound awesome, really very good indeed and as good as any 5 string I have had, and I have had a few! Well made and finished. Piezo pickup adds extra dimension of presence. There are a couple of marks to the finish, localised chips only, but otherwise great condition. Nice neck grain and other spiffing features. Based junc 11 of M25. S
4. He does now ;-)
5. Out of interest, what makes you prefer the Fender?
6. Sorry to be ignorant, but is limelight a company that takes existing Fenders and...bashes them up somewhat? How does it all work?
7. Hi Dougal, I am also in Chertsey and also quite interested in your bass, being in the mood for a 4 string. If you around this week might I nip round for a brief visitation? Thanks S
8. Just noticed that the price is refusing to change to £1400 - that's actually what I want for it.
9. Up, with a nice Saturday morning Lent discount.
10. Does nobody anywhere have any money AT ALL? The mind boggles...
11. Anyone else want to get onto the Christmas card list?
12. Second to top of the Christmas card list - OBVIOUSLY
13. 48hours and not one single comment - feeling very unloved :-(
14. 4 string, Shoreline gold with rosewood fingerboard. Have owned for 4 years and barely played. Action is super low. Everything works! Couple of little dings but nothing to get stressed about (well - in my opinion!) Based near Junc 11 of the M25 Want to sell not swap - open to offers :-)
15. £1400 not £1600 Hi all, time has come to move on my GB Spitfire 5 string. Its the one that was reviewed in Bass Magazine and got 97%. I changed the faded gold hardware for black a couple of years ago - I prefer the more modern look and it has smartened it up considerably.. Serviced by Bernie in Brighton 2 years ago. Played only in church (no stage dives or mosh pits) and in really good condition just the odd very small ding. There is a bit of noise on a couple of the pots - needs a bit of switch cleaner. Locking jack, 1 year old Hiscox case. It sounds awesome, thick and kind of brutal and you can read all about it in the article which describes it much better than I ever will. I am the second owner. My reason for selling is to downsize- I am not a great player and don't deserve this, plus my daughter is getting married and I need the cash. For my Land Rover. Junc 11 of M25.
16. Bought a Yamaha TRB5ii - very welcoming and helpful, a really good guy and a pleasure to do business with :-)
17. Where in N London are you based?
