Got it back from the amp tech, all is good and it works great, only issue was two blown speakers in the 410. Just got hold of two replacements from here

Picked up an orange ad200b , obc410 and obc115 for £560 on eBay. The guy said it wasn't working but hadn't checked it. Seems to work through one cab but I've changed the tubes and put a fresh set of tung sols in. Just with the amp tech now to bias and check over. The obc410 seems to be faulty tho, possibly a loose connection somewhere but over all I'm very pleased with the find! Hopefully it'll be good as new very soon

Thanks for the replies .. I may be considering an ob1 500 instead of the ad200. Regarding the valves, they are stock ones which came with it, about 4 years ago.

Hi, I am currently running an orange ad200b through an orange 810 cab, Gibson Les Paul bass with active pickups. My eq settings are roughly volume at 9oclock, treble about 3oclock mid about 12 oclock bass about 12 o'clock and gain 10 o'clock. The bass is set to a flat eq, with a little treble boost. To my ears the sound I'm getting is a little too 'muddy' compared with using a tb500. Would a compressor help with this or would different valves help? I play finger style hard rock / metal. Any other orange players, I welcome your advice! Thanks

Hi, many thanks for taking the time to listen and I appreciate your comments. I always think the bass comes out low in recordings but then again I am the bass player so it can be a little bit of a biased opinion!

Hi I have an old 2x15 cab enclosure which was made by 'Highway'. Its constructed of an MDF material. I have stripped all the tolex off with a view to recovering and fitting drivers, however I've decided i haven't got the time and I'd rather spend the money on a new smaller cab instead. It has all the handles, corner protectors and front speaker grill. Due to its size I'd ask that it is collected from Sheffield South Yorks. Thanks Aidan

Not eBay but I just put a wanted ad on gumtree and was contacted by someone offering me what I wanted and sent pictures.. I've just picked up a used G&L L2500 sunburst from guitar guitar for £350.. Delivery tomorrow , can't wait to try it out! I have a usa jazz and usa precision but I've been looking at an affordable active 5'er so I thought for the money I'll give it a go! I've read good reviews on these, so all being well it should be an excellent gigging bass
