Our drummer in both my bands played in Glitter Band during 90's. Great drummer, great guy. Was friends with the guys from the Sweet too. He's played some amazing venues incl Wembley Arena..................and now he plays in a band with me poor sod. His career has gone right down hill now Dave

Tried to get a Prog covers band up and running years ago but never happened. These were some of the songs i always wanted to cover. In the Dead of Night - UK Warcher of the Skies - Genesis BIKO - Peter Gabriel School - Supertramp Wait - Camel Dave

Gruvgear Duo strap . Comfiest strap i've ever had. Only down side was it only came in shorter length to suit players like Damien Erskine. The extra length strap wasn't available in UK at the time. It is now. I was having neck and shoulder issues and this worked a treat sharing the load on both shoulders. Once my neck issue went i used it as a standard single strap but the length was too short so i made an extension from a leather belt trimmed to fit length i needed. Been using it now for approx 5yrs and still so comfy no matter what bass i use. Dave

I dont have any great issues with the site. If i see something i want i usually drop Mark a message and he confirms in stock or answer any query i have. I sometimes just call them to confirm something and just pay over the phone. I find it all relatively easy. Altho its not a major issue for me I can see the point on accessories / effects sections where it would be nice to individualise the items in a simpler way but i've been visiting the site for such a long time i've just gotten used to how it works. Bit of a shame. To be fair when i drove down from Glasgow i did call first and told Mark i was looking for 5 stringer and my approx budget and he had a variety of them ready to try but i was travelling circa 250miles each way. There was that many basses in the shop i assumed that was them all. Dave

Our singer in the Glam Rock band caught it altho it was during one of his solo gigs. I've been back gigging with both bands for couple of months and we've been lucky i guess. All triple vaccinated exxcept for the singer that's just caught it. Its weird how it moves. Dave

Thought that was a far better version on bass. Clearer and few additional fills. Really enjoyed that version too. Wasn't too sure who Jimmy Johnson was but when i finally got a glimpse of him i recognised him with his Alembic bass. Cheers Rob Dave

Best one i've had was The Blue Angels gig where a path was cleared for us, guys held doors open for us and several guys offered to give us a hand unloading and loading. Just goes to show you cant judge a book by its cover right enough. Last gig we had to walk up 2 flights of outside stairs where the smokers congregated at the mid-point. I was first up with a cab and asked if they could move over to the side while we loaded and thankfully they moved but a few ignored us when leaving at end of the night and got a cab corner in their back. I did ask politely but ignorance is no excuse for being stupid. Dave

I found it under my Likes category. With FB changing i can never find anything these days. Singer's good at the Slade songs. Not many male singers can reach that pitch. Well done there. Dave

Hope to see some of the Vid clip if possible. I was same the first gig i did after covid all clear with the new Punk band. To be honest i'm still trying to learn the songs to a point a dont need to concentrate too much but lack of rehearsing doesn't help as we went straight into 5 weekends in a trot. Dave

Brilliant. our singer Mikey does a bit of audience participation in the clubs. Makes for an interesting night as we never really know when he's gonna go off on a tour. 😂 Sounding good with a nice overall balance. Dave

Nice tone. I had a MB combo and ext cab and it sounded great out front but just no presence on stage. Dave

Sounding really good there guys. The bass sounds really nice. What rig were you using for that one. Nice well rounded tone and nice and clear. Loving the bass on that. Few wee fills added that fitted really well. That could have been Trev himself on bass. Dave

Think that's the sensible decision if you like the band and are all good musicians that generally have no other concerns then its a minor annoyance more than anything else. Think i'd be the same. Some songs with some audiences just dont work and maybe it was just a combination of events. What was the song out of curiosity ? Dave

Nice tone from the Ric and i think i watched this version when i was learning it at the start and then just played what felt right for me. Dave

Its good cause i like Nickelback but prefer the original version. Bassline is better to play on the Elton John version. Dave
