Yes the bass amps are multi-voltage but Mesa are not prepared to send an occasional bass amp outside the US because of transport costs. Guitar amps have different voltages and its the transformers and supply components that is causing the delay with them. Cabs have issues too with getting the correct wood. I've no idea how many people outside the US are waiting for a bass amp but i'm pretty sure its not just myself and @three above. I can understand others now cancelling their Mesa bass amp orders. Dave

Think when i placed the order Andertons already had them on order from Mesa anyway so maybe why it was only 3 mth wait initially. I'm probably gonna wait no matter what. Dave
-
I'm hoping so Steve. Sometimes a voice of reason like yours has a calming effect 😀 I'll probably just wait as i've looked at so many other amps in past year before ordering the TT800 i just couldn't see anything else with the same tone and build quality. Dave

Agedhorse has offered an explanation on TB but it doesn't cover the bass heads as they operate in either UK or US voltage and are continuing to offer the bass amps in US. From what i can gather from his explanations its mainly guitar amps that have trouble with parts for supply voltages as they are designed for specific voltages depending on country they are sent. Subway bass amps work in either. All i can take from it is that they dont want to ship one or two items at a time outside the US because of costs. Have to say that we pay substantially more for Mesa gear and think we should be treated just as fairly. My main concern now is that will the TT800 price drastically increase in 8 mths. If i've already placed my order is Andertons and Mesa legally bound to uphold that price when the delay is theirs for whatever reason. Dave.

Canadian Prog band SAGA have 2 bassists altho i dont think they both play bass at same time. Singer takes over bass duties for some songs while bass player moves onto keys. At times the singer and bass player move onto keys along with their permanent keys player. Dave

I looked at those few yrs back but i just couldn't be bothered with all the programming and parameter settings. Did consider a few others like Magellan, Handbox and Quilter but the TT800 having twin channels kind of swung it for me in the end. Dave

Andertons offered a full refund but when you have your mind set on the matching amp to the Mesa cabs i just paid £2k for its a little bit annoying to say the least. My problem is that since using Mesa gear now for past few yrs and loving it i'm loathe to change to something else as i get the sound i'm looking for from Mesa. Dave

I knew there was a 3mth delay on prders and was hoping mine would arrive before it got any worse. Too Late. I guess Gibson does it again. Dave
-
No thanks, I've tried them and didn't like them. Plus the TT800 is twin channel with different voicings. I will however keep looking to see what else is out there. Dave

As i said Andertons have been faultless in any dealings i've had with them. Dave
-
Totally agree its Mesa's fault. Andertons have been excellent any time i've contacted them and is my goto shop now. I'll clarify that on my OP. Dave
-
Perhaps a Global legal action against them to complete orders as they are placed rather than shutting out every other country to supply US orders possibly not even placed yet. Dave
-
Disappointed with Mesa. Andertons merely placed the order with Mesa. Dave

Just received this email from Andertons where i had placed a pre-order on a TT800. To say i'm disappointed in Mesa is an understatement. Enough to put me off them. Not very nice at all. Andertons have been first class any time i contact them. I'm writing to you with an update we've just received from our friends at Mesa Boogie. I'm afraid this is not good news for any customers outside of the USA who currently have a Mesa Boogie product on order. Despite having promised a June 2021 delivery on most of our back orders, I have just been informed that Mesa Boogie will not begin exporting amps from the USA until the end of 2021, possibly early 2022. They are blaming overwhelming demand & terrible parts supply problems. I do have some sympathy with that, but I'm extremely disappointed that they've waited until now to inform us of this decision, and I'm also very disappointed that it appears they will still continue to fulfil orders from dealers in the USA, but not to dealers overseas. I've spoken to everyone I know at Boogie (& their new owners at Gibson) but it seems they are set on this decision, and so sadly we will not be able to fulfil your Boogie order for the foreseeable future. I suspect that most customers with a Boogie order will want to cancel, and if there is anything we can do to advise you of a similar product, please do contact one of our experts either by calling 01483 456777 or by replying to this email. If you would like to cancel your order please reply to this email & we'll process the cancellation & refund any monies due within the next few days.

You'll be anxious, nervous and excited so practice what you need to learn for the audition to the point you can play without thinking too much about it. That takes the pressure of the playing part. Then try to focus on your mind. Relax, conciously slow yourself down. Not your playing but your mind. You know you'll be nervous etc so just take a wee step back and look at how and what you need to do to achieve it. Plan it in your head as you go along. You'll know yourself if you feel you are rushing things too fast. That's the point to take a step back and say "lets slow this down to my speed" and go from there. Most of all be yourself, enjoy it and you'll nail it. Its no different from playing in front of any other audience. Wishing you every success and keep us all posted on how things go. Dave

Brilliant list. Just listened to Jean Genie mistake at 3:07. Never really noticed that one before but Trev def makes quite a few "jazz versions" of the songs. Gonna have some fun going thru this list. Cheers Dave

I quite liked it when it came out. Was just a catchy wee tune.

Makes it more real for me. Even better on live albums. Rush never did overwrites on their early live albums. The mistakes were included and stated as such on the album cover. Not sure if they continued to do that. Unlike Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous which i think only had the drums as the only original live part. (i could stand to be corrected on that tho) Dave

Think Trevor Bolder once commented that Bowie almost always used the first take in the studio because he liked the spontanuity of it more. On a lot of the songs they didn't get much chance to rehearse either. Almost like a semi-structured jam session. Have to say its one of the things i like about his earlier albums. Its not all perfect but i never gave it a second thought about there being mistakes. Funny how some of us pick up on these things more than others. Until others point it out i never even noticed. Dave

Bowie Jean Genie on TOTP's where Trevor misses the change and repeats the verse or chorus notes again. (can't remember the exact details. Same song near the intro where the change is too early onto the B. Dave

Having just re-read my post it highlighted the Glam Rocker in me. 😂

It does sound amazing but she makes it all seem so easy. Liked the fact her jacket matched her bass. Black with gold. 😂 @Cuzzie you need to learn diplomacy. Maybe if you had praised her bass she might have given you one for free. (a bass that is) She's always came across as a very nice person which for me makes a difference. I like to know that people i respect and admire are genuine and generally nice people. The more i see that 4 stringer the more i like it. Dave

Is it lighter than the standard model. ?
