  1. I was really curious to see more and had a google search on it and that just looks like an amazing place. Its so different and interesting. Its a bit far from me but its the kind of place i'd love to visit. Quaint and charming. 😍 Have a great gig. Dave
  2. WOW that looks nice. Can you get a band in there Dave
  3. Pitlochry is probably my favourite place for scenery. I love the drive along that section. The A9 north of Perth to Inverness is literally average speed cameras the full route. To be fair the section from the Queensferry Bridge to Perth isn't too bad and you can make up some time on it but you do need to be very aware of police cameras along it too. I'll use cruise on my way up to a gig but when travelling at night after a gig i prefer not to use cruise. I just feel i have more control of the car without cruise plus the more i'm doing and keeping check off the more it keeps me alert. I actually prefer twisty roads after a gig as i'm more focused. Once i hit motorways i get bored easily and that makes me more tired. I took a test drive up to Tomintoul 2 weeks ago just to see what the best route was and the A9 makes most sense. That particular car didn't have cruise but it is way better fun to drive. I'll be using the Volvo V90 today for the gig so its pretty comfy on long hauls. It is funny as you mention there's always someone going a lot faster than me when i'm sitting at the speed limit. I often wonder if they got done for speeding ? Dave
  4. Its in Tomintoul which is a famous bike destination up thru the Lecht pass. Dave
  5. Today i have a biker rally gig for not a lot of money. Its a 4hr drive each way and i'll maybe break even not including the fact i still need to eat at some point. Its an earlier start so hopefully finished and packed up by 10pm. Home by 2pm ish. Not looking forward to the drive on way home altho my wife will share some of the driving. You need to stick to the speed limits as we have average speed cameras all along the main A9 route. Mostly 60mph with occasional dual carriageway sections of 70mph. Get stuck behind a tractor on this road and your journey soon becomes 5hrs. Part of the route is a tight twisty mountain passes. Gorgeous scenery tho and one of my fav areas for holidays. Dave
  6. I see what you mean about the lighting Daryl. Otherwise a good event tho by sound of it and decent money too so all good. Sure the band played well and from an audience point of view that's what counts. Dave
  7. Fit them now and decision is made for you. Its a keeper. Dave
  8. I thought his image was perfect for the character to be honest. Don't think a hardened biker image would have worked for that kind of show. Dave
  9. You gotta keep that for the Glam band. It just looks the part 100%. Dave
  10. Ooohh that is so nice. Would look great in the Glam band. If it wasn't for the fact my Mesa TT800 is due soon i might have gone for this even tho i already have a Geddy Jazz and a MarloweDK. So nice. GLWTS Dave
  11. That one was rubbish. Not a fan of this at all. To be honest i never really liked Chachi in Happy Days either. Dave
  12. Wasn't aware of that one either but on hindsight i do remember them in Happy Days first. Dave
  13. Cheers for that i had no idea. Mork and Mindy was a cracking series. Robin Williams at his very best. Dave
  14. You're just stirring it Using a spurtle of course. Dave
  15. We are a poor people. We eat what we can find. Dave
  16. Only if you make the traditional porridge rather than the microwave type. Dave
  17. I stand corrected it wasn't Ted Danson from Cheers but a guy called Ted McGinley who looked very similar to Danson in the early days. Leather Tuscadero was her character. I remember it well. Tom Hanks also played a part in one episode when he was very young. Think he was trying to kill Fonzie for some reason. ? Robin Williams as Mork was also in it.
  18. Its what makes us Scots a hardy race. Scotts porridge oats is the traditional favourite over here but there are other makes nowadays. My Father in Law is 86 and has porridge every morning for breakfast. He makes it the old traditional way in a large pot but you now get the microwave porridge in different flavours too. Just add milk and pop in the microwave for 2-3mins and its pretty tasty and quick. I like a little cold milk on top once cooked. I enjoy porridge once or twice a week for breakie. It keeps the hunger away for most of the day too. Dave
  19. Get home at 1am and have a hot milky drink. We have Horlicks over here (kind of malt hot milky drink) not sure you get that in US but i normally have a coffee with milk and a biscuit and then bed within 15mins after the coffee. The caffeine takes 20-30mins to have an effect on you so get to sleep before it hits. You'll be right as rain the next day. Drink some Lucozade Sport in the morning with your porridge to give you a wee lift for the day. Dave
  20. Watched a clip from Happy Days yesterday where Sam from Cheers was in it as a young adult. Dave
  21. Great amps, my goto amp at the moment. Does what it says it will. Ampeg tone and loud. Never let me down in the 12mths i've owned it and i've done a fair amount of gigs with both Glam and punk bands. GLWTS sale. Dave
  22. Nice one, should be a good night then. Dave
  23. Confidence Daryl, you'll smash this one, its what you guys do. Dave
