  1. Glasgow and Central belt area of Scotland. I definitley recognise the band name but who knows how. Dave
  2. Did you tour or gig up this way ? Dave
  3. Did the band achieve much ? The name sounds familiar. Dave
  4. If i did that i'd end up falling asleep in the bath and i'd be there till wife got up in morning by which time the water would be cold. 😂 Dave
  5. Nice bass. What is it ? Dave
  6. I'm quite lucky ............ i dont know how to slap and never play it. Does that qualify me as a genius ? Dave
  7. Altho i like to hear solo bassists doing some slap i just think its had its day. There are so many amazing bass players doing slap that there's nothing new in it for me. Not saying its easy and it takes a lot of talent to do it well but for me it doesn't do much. I tend to move on to the next VID clip. I'd rather listen to someone do a bit of two handed playing or something a bit more melodic rather than rhythmic percussion. Think there's a fine balance to get it right. I am certainly no master of slap by any means as its a style i've just never really been into so i'm probably a bit biased there. Dave
  8. Same here Dave. Thoroughly enjoy the drive home as roads are usually nice and quiet. I always have my coffee and biccies when i get home tho. Dave
  9. For a minute their i thought that was Geezer Butler with the blackist black bass i've ever seen. So much black it could almost be a black hole. Very nice indeed. Never seen one like that before. Dave
  10. Is that not the sign of a great gig where the adrenelin is still running when you get home. I'm always like that. Have to wind down with a coffee and biccy when i get home no matter what time it is. Dave
  11. Cant say i've noticed any link with headphones. I use mine a lot with my laptop but to be fair i dont use at high volume. Usually just enough to hear things. I'll keep an eye on it now that you've mentioned it. Dave
  12. Yep stress or migraines make mine worse. Also colds or sinus issues, changes in weather conditions seem to affect it but that's probably the sinus thing again. If i think about it, it seems to be more noticeable. It seems to go thru spells of being more noticeable and then times i hardlt notice it. Dave
  13. Sounded great. Well done. Pity the camera guy focused mainly on the guitarist playing a simple rhythm most of the time.
  14. That was it. Cheers for that it was bugging me trying to remember. Dave
  15. I thought Ray Wilson did a good job on the Genesis album. His earlier band were pretty good IMO of course. Think this song was used on a TV advert or something like that. Think he could have done better for himself if he hadn't went with Genesis altho it probably opened a few doors for him i expect.
  16. Phil's son is a phenomenal drummer and think he'll do a great job. I cant get past Phil having to sit down but from what i've seen in a few clips on youtube i thought they sounded pretty good. Dave
  17. I do that too but i end up with a painful finger but i'm playing either punk or 70's Glam Rock songs. Can manage one or two songs that way LOL
  18. And a bass would look better in any pic 😁 Long hair always looks better. 😂 Dave
  19. 100 % agree. I like to know i've done enough to feel comfortable at a gig. Different bands mean different rehearsal time tho. Some bands it just clicks and can gig within a few months others take a bit longer. I've done a few gigs where i was the new guy and learning sets in 2-3 weeks and gigging. I did ok but was never comfortable and relaxed doing them. I've always maintained a strict 3 rehearsals without mistakes before we are ready. Works for most bands. Dave
  20. That's really nice. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Wee quick question but where were you hiding the pick changing from fingers to pick style 😀 Bass sounding exceptionally nice. Thanks for sharing. Dave
  21. First rehearsal with a new punk band today. Started off using my Fender PJ that's been sitting doing nothing since i bought my VM4. Got thru first 6 songs and decided i preferred the feel of my Sandberg. It was like night and day. I was getting a few aches in first 6 songs but after changing to the VM4 i finished the remaining 34 songs without issue. No aches, no pains at all. The Sandberg is just so much more comfortable and why its been my goto bass since the day i bought it. Dave
  22. Forgot about that Lee altho not sure i'd be comfortable in your type of audience there. 😂 Dave
  23. Would love to have done this as a tribute / cover band. Would take a lot of work putting it together and getting musicians that like the idea would be even more difficult. Thanks for producing this one Rob. 👍 Dave
  24. Can you re-use the original screws in the new straplocks ? Are they too short ? Dave
