  1. Love those big Berg cabs. Built like tanks and so so sweet. By far some of the best cabs ever built. I have an HT322 and altho no internal power amp it is just killer phenomenal. If i didn't have the HT322 i could be very tempted at this ridiculously low price for a prime piece of kit. GLWTS Dave
  2. I did but can't remember a lot of it. Happy days. Would i do it again. ..........probably but with a few minor tweaks. Dave
  3. WOW ..........Is that a custom version at that price ? Mine is the 4 string NT from 1989 that i've had since new original EMG's but had to replace the preamp with MEC one when the EMG one failed. If i was selling i would be looking somewhere in region of £1k - £1.5k and mine is in excellent condition having only done 5 or 6 gigs and a few rehearsals with no dings or marks on it. Jings that sounded like a sales pitch 😂 I've tried a few over the years but none compared to the late 80's early 90's basses in my opinion. Tried the Rockbass versions too and they were just cheap basses to me and had no character plus necks were just not to my liking. EQ was a bit boom and treble too altho it did have HB's rather than the EMG J's on my Thumb. Just make sure you try before buying and try and get as much time on them before you dish out the cash. Personally i love my Warwick but its a bit limited in use to certain styles of music in my opinion. Dave
  4. Reckon pre-92 might be over the budget. Dave
  5. Very nice playing indeed. Not sure where its coming from but the low end is causing a lot of vibration or distortion thru my headphones. Is it something vibrating in the room or overload at your end. I've listened to other bass tracks that are ok. Dave
  6. I really like that bass. Would be ideal for my 70's Glam Rock covers band. 🎅
  7. I've tried a couple of Spectors and to be honest they weren't a patch on my 89 Thumb NT or the Streamer i had a loan of in 1990 for 6mths. The Spectors i've tried were 2nd hand approx £1500 so not the cheap versions. Didn't like the feel of the necks on them. Think it may have been down to the depth of the neck rather than the width. Dave
  8. I'm repeating what was mentioned by other people on this thread who had contacted his bandmates on FB. I suggest you read the full thread as his bandmate made a comment on FB that he had been doing this for years. Its not a witch hunt to state my own personal views that i wouldn't accept people i know behaving like that.
  9. Great news Walshy but i'd leave this thread running until everyone is refunded. Dave
  10. Aye you got me there. 😂 Only a geek can spot another geek. 🤣 Dave🎅
  11. Deltic, Class 37's & 40's have been my fav loco's for many many years. Being a train geek i have several models of the 37 and 40 but oddly enough i've never bought a Deltic. Its on my todo list tho. When i turned 40 and managerial job wasn't what i had hoped i almost went down the route of job change to be a train driver and even looked into how you start and what salary was but at start of £12-£16k i couldn't afford the drop at that time. Love the sound of diesels from that era. Dave
  12. War of the Worlds is worth a congratulations there @Bilbo Another great piece of music. Thanks again and enjoy your rest period. Well deserved. Dave
  13. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you will at some point. Maybe take advice from Prowla on his technique. Its all in the technique i'm told. 😂 Joking aside @walshy seriously hope it gets sorted for you Dave
  14. Excellent news. Glad its sorted for you but what about @walshy. Is he not in same position as you. Dave
  15. On a more serious note i always wanted to be a truck driver. Probably because my Dad drove trucks up until i started school at 5 yrs old and i used to go with him and later he drove buses part time so went with him at weekends. I became an Instrument Technician instead. My Dad was originally an aircraft artificer in Fleet Air Arm so i guess i followed in his footsteps becoming an engineer . Dave
  16. Many thanks Neil. It will mean a lot to people like myself who have a very high regard for you and what you've accomplished over the years. For me Fool for your Loving was you at your very best. Even if there are things not quite perfect it's still such a fantastic bassline. When you consider when it was recorded and that bass players all over the world are still trying to figure it out for me just shows how good it is. Dave
  17. Good point. Criminal has nothing to lose, he's already labelled a criminal in eyes of the law. You on the other hand don't need this kind of aggro over the festive period. Have you reported it to the police @prowla ? otherwise this thread is gonna run forever with everyone else getting angry and agitated which we don't need at Xmas time. Report it to the police and Facebook. Let them deal with it and move on to enjoy Xmas. Don't let this ruin your festive spirit.
  18. I thought it had been raised with Police. Was there not a mention a few pages back about a police report number or whatever its called these days. ?
  19. Even better. Like Dave Paton and getting the best of Pilot as a wee Xmas pressie from my wife. Until recently i wasn't aware Dave Paton played with Elton John. Dave
  20. Love that song and bassline. One of my favourite EJ songs just for the bass.
  21. How did you pay him. ? Can you claim your money back thru bank or Paypal Dave
  22. Oddly enough i thought you would pick that one. 😂
