  1. When younger i had no issues being a bass player. Worked ok for me. Now i'm older i dont think it matters anymore. 😁 Dave
  2. You've never married and divorced a cat yet. 😂
  3. I have a cat for every bass.
  4. There aren't many musicians out there playing bass, keys, guitar, bass pedals and singing tho. And some of that at same time. In my book that classes him as a musicial genius. Then again i've been a Rush fan since 76 when i bought 2112 so i'm biased. Dave
  5. What do you mean cancel each other ? Do they shut off completely or just the tone changes ? Active or passive ? Some more info would help identify what the issue might be. Dave
  6. Are the Maruszcyk basses in same price range. I always thought they were pretty expensive. Tried a Jazz one that a mate bought and i was very impressed by the feel of it. Dave
  7. I care. I'm a nice person. 😀 Dave
  8. Must admit i only used it once few yrs back and found it ok. I managed to get exactly what i was looking for in a bass but i accidently found the VM4 i have elsewhere and loved the look of it. Can't say i've tried any other manufacturers configurators ? Dave
  9. EBS Reidmar 750 for sale. £395 ...... now £375........now final drop to £350. This was a back up amp for my Mesa Mpulse 600 when i bought the Mesa 2nd hand. Its never been needed as the Mesa has been solid since buying it. Bought this from our guitarist who was bass player in his previous band for 2 yrs. He bought it new and its not had a lot of use. I've only used it a couple of rehearsals to get a feel for it but never gigged. EBS produce reliable, solid bass gear tthis is one of their class D amps. Its one very powerful amp with a great variation of usable tones. 750W @ 4ohm. Would prefer Cash on Collection as i dont have the original box or packaging. Dave
  10. Thanks guys its a fantastic cab but i'm just not using it. Seems a bit of a waste keeping it. They are quite rare and could only find one other on Reverb at silly money. I'm looking to break even on it. Dave
  11. Yep no problems either way. Dave
  12. Finally time to let go of my amazing Bergantino HT322. Its not been used much by me over the years i've had it but its a glorious cab. 1x12, 2x10's with adjustable horn. 13. Yep kinda thought it wasn't allowed but i did find the old advert from circa 8-10 yrs ago. Any chance you could just delete this thread @ped Appreciate reasoning behind why its not allowed. I hadnt really thought of that. thanks again Dave
  14. Yep i've finally found it 12 pages in 😂 Gives me a good idea of where to price it altho i did travel down to Wigan to pick it up. Dave
  15. Its quite a rare cab and cant find any.
  16. I'm thinking of selling a bass cab. Can i ask BC'ers advice what an approx price might be. ? I've had it approx 8-10 yrs bought from a fellow BC'er but can't even remember what i paid for it. Wasn't sure if it was allowed or not...........so many rules Dave
  17. I've never been a huge fan of the Beatles or Paul's solo projects. I have the best of Paul McCartney and Wings and recently listened to Sgt Peppers for the first time. (i'm 61) Altho i really enjoyed a lot of the hits as just great songs i had never really listened to the bass part. Its not technically fast or difficult but he knows exactly what to play at the right time. His bass fits into the songs so well. Altho still not a huge fan of the Beatles i did find a new respect for Paul McCartney's bass playing. Some of Wings hits were brilliant like Jet and Band On the Run to name a few. My first single was All My Loving when i was 4 yrs old for my birthday plus i had a plastic Beatles wig and guitar as a 4 yr old. Maybe the Beatles were a bigger influence than i thought. Dave
  18. I know our resident expert @Cuzzie will be along shortly and answer all things Sandberg but from what i know they do Delanos which have that name on them and then Sandbergs own with the 4 dots on them. They also do Black Labels and a couple of others but i'd need to go back thru this thread for names and details and its vino time so my focus is fading. Seems quite a few people aren't keen on the Delanos but i have no exxperience myself of anything other than Sandbergs version with the 4 dots. Dave
  19. My VM has Sandberg's own pick ups and they are pretty good IMO
  20. With you reading music a lot more than i do i was just curious if anyone could actually play that first time solely thru sight reading. Dave
  21. Oooohhhh that's tasty Rob. If someone handed you that sheet music could you sight read it and play it right away or would you need to work on it a little. Its quite a fast wee riff going on there. Dave
  22. I have Waterloo to learn for our return to rehearsals in May. Dave
  23. WOW that's so chilled. I can feel myself drift off. Good luck with the bassline. Dave
  24. After thinking about this for the past few years and talking with Agedhorse from Mesa on TB along with advice from so many helpful people with differing opinions but all positive when doing research i decided to go for it this morning. Went for the TT800 amp, 210 & 115 cabs. Managed to get the 115 cab from Guitar Guitar as they had it in stock altho £80 more expensive and they wouldn't budge on price. 210 cab and TT800 from Andertons. Cab is in stock but amp on 3mth pre-order. All in all i'll have the cabs next week and amp end June. Gives me time to use the Mpulse thru the cabs at rehearsals in May tho. What i found about the cab set ups was that the 215 cab is a bit more focused than the 210 & 115 set up has a wider spectrum of frequencies. Think that means the mids and treble should be a bit sharper. At some point i might get another 115 cab to get the best of both worlds. Many thanks to everyone that helped me eventually decide. Dave
  25. Found a couple of really good reviews on TT800 and one on the 210 & 115 cabs. Uriah Duffy doing the cab one and they do sound good. Spoken with guys on Talkbass and they love the new Mesa Subway amps. One guy has exact same rig i'm thinking off and using it in a rock band with a punk influence but also doing a few reggae and dub songs and he says the rig does it with ease. His EQ settings are almost flat but maybe using the bass boost switch. I've convinced myself that the TT800 210 & 115 cabs is the way to go for me. I find the PH212 cab is great but lacks a little definition for me and i'm hoping the 210 fills that gap. Dave
