  1. I wish people would just spell the words like normal people. What's thepoint of schooling ? Dave
  2. I read reviews of new album releases from relatively unknown bands 1976 in one of the music papers like Sounds or NME and there was Rush with 2112, The Police, Blondie were the ones that stuck out for me. It was down to either Rush or Police for me but something about the album cover stood out and i went for 2112. I have never been disappointed with that choice and they have entertained me ever since. Dave
  3. When younger i had no issues being a bass player. Worked ok for me. Now i'm older i dont think it matters anymore. 😁 Dave
  4. You've never married and divorced a cat yet. 😂
  5. I have a cat for every bass.
  6. There aren't many musicians out there playing bass, keys, guitar, bass pedals and singing tho. And some of that at same time. In my book that classes him as a musicial genius. Then again i've been a Rush fan since 76 when i bought 2112 so i'm biased. Dave
  7. What do you mean cancel each other ? Do they shut off completely or just the tone changes ? Active or passive ? Some more info would help identify what the issue might be. Dave
  8. Are the Maruszcyk basses in same price range. I always thought they were pretty expensive. Tried a Jazz one that a mate bought and i was very impressed by the feel of it. Dave
  9. I care. I'm a nice person. 😀 Dave
  10. Must admit i only used it once few yrs back and found it ok. I managed to get exactly what i was looking for in a bass but i accidently found the VM4 i have elsewhere and loved the look of it. Can't say i've tried any other manufacturers configurators ? Dave
  11. EBS Reidmar 750 for sale. £395 ...... now £375........now final drop to £350. This was a back up amp for my Mesa Mpulse 600 when i bought the Mesa 2nd hand. Its never been needed as the Mesa has been solid since buying it. Bought this from our guitarist who was bass player in his previous band for 2 yrs. He bought it new and its not had a lot of use. I've only used it a couple of rehearsals to get a feel for it but never gigged. EBS produce reliable, solid bass gear tthis is one of their class D amps. Its one very powerful amp with a great variation of usable tones. 750W @ 4ohm. Would prefer Cash on Collection as i dont have the original box or packaging. Dave
  12. Thanks guys its a fantastic cab but i'm just not using it. Seems a bit of a waste keeping it. They are quite rare and could only find one other on Reverb at silly money. I'm looking to break even on it. Dave
  13. Yep no problems either way. Dave

  15. Yep kinda thought it wasn't allowed but i did find the old advert from circa 8-10 yrs ago. Any chance you could just delete this thread @ped Appreciate reasoning behind why its not allowed. I hadnt really thought of that. thanks again Dave
  16. Yep i've finally found it 12 pages in 😂 Gives me a good idea of where to price it altho i did travel down to Wigan to pick it up. Dave
  17. Its quite a rare cab and cant find any.
  18. I'm thinking of selling a bass cab. Can i ask BC'ers advice what an approx price might be. ? I've had it approx 8-10 yrs bought from a fellow BC'er but can't even remember what i paid for it. Wasn't sure if it was allowed or not...........so many rules Dave
  19. I've never been a huge fan of the Beatles or Paul's solo projects. I have the best of Paul McCartney and Wings and recently listened to Sgt Peppers for the first time. (i'm 61) Altho i really enjoyed a lot of the hits as just great songs i had never really listened to the bass part. Its not technically fast or difficult but he knows exactly what to play at the right time. His bass fits into the songs so well. Altho still not a huge fan of the Beatles i did find a new respect for Paul McCartney's bass playing. Some of Wings hits were brilliant like Jet and Band On the Run to name a few. My first single was All My Loving when i was 4 yrs old for my birthday plus i had a plastic Beatles wig and guitar as a 4 yr old. Maybe the Beatles were a bigger influence than i thought. Dave
  20. I know our resident expert @Cuzzie will be along shortly and answer all things Sandberg but from what i know they do Delanos which have that name on them and then Sandbergs own with the 4 dots on them. They also do Black Labels and a couple of others but i'd need to go back thru this thread for names and details and its vino time so my focus is fading. Seems quite a few people aren't keen on the Delanos but i have no exxperience myself of anything other than Sandbergs version with the 4 dots. Dave
  21. My VM has Sandberg's own pick ups and they are pretty good IMO
  22. With you reading music a lot more than i do i was just curious if anyone could actually play that first time solely thru sight reading. Dave
  23. Oooohhhh that's tasty Rob. If someone handed you that sheet music could you sight read it and play it right away or would you need to work on it a little. Its quite a fast wee riff going on there. Dave
  24. I have Waterloo to learn for our return to rehearsals in May. Dave
  25. WOW that's so chilled. I can feel myself drift off. Good luck with the bassline. Dave
