  6. Was sad about him. They were a great band in their day.
  7. I was very young. Lived in a tower block and they used to organise bus trip and nights out. We went as a family. My Dad was a big fan of his comedy and my mother enjoyed his singing and piano playing. Also saw Francie a Josie (Rikki Fulton) Good old Glesga humour. Dave
  8. Was at that too. Quite a weekend for us travelled on overnight train with a carry out of beer and some sandwiches. Pub during day, sat in Hyde park sipping beer, concert at night, slept in Euston station in a safe area with olice ensuring pickpockets were kept at bay from the sleeping Scots. Very much appreciated by us all. Train home in morning. Quite an event. Dave
  9. Gonna go with Haircut 100
  10. @Reggaebass your turn now.
  11. OK i'm gonna go with Led Zep
  12. Might as well tell you the answer as this hasn't taken off as much as i expected. Motorhead is the one i haven't seen. Norman Wisdom i saw in Glasgow Pavillion when i was a kid along with my parents. He was so funny and musically talented. Boston i saw at Edinburgh Showground early 80's. Floyd i saw at Earls Court The Wall early 80's first time it was out. Jeff Berlin i saw at Glasgow Pavillion along with John McLaughlan and a percussionist who's name i forget. Again probably early 80's at some point. Dave
  13. Sorry @steve-bbb it took few light years for your application to come thru. Dave
  14. Lighten the mood a bit. Here's a wee quiz for us all List ten bands/artists you’ve seen in concert but ONE is a lie. People leave a reply to who they think is the lie. First person to guess correctly then does the same and so on. Don't reply to answers until the correct one is made Here’s mine, let’s play: 1. Motorhead 2. Genesis 3. Norman Wisdom 4. Deep Purple 5. Rush 6. Uriah Heep 7. Steve Hillage 8. Jeff Berlin 9. Boston 10. Pink Floyd
  15. This for our next rehearsal whenever that will be.
  16. Wish you all the best and hope you get in to DWP Now what about my claims. ? Can you help. ? Just giving you some prior notice to make sure you are prepared for them. Good Luck👍 Dave
  17. That's good to know. Thanks for the tip. Dave
  18. Will have a look @Bilbo. They could be interesting. Thanks for sharing them Dave
  19. That's a very nice looking Panther bass Dave. not seen one that colour before. How does it sound ? Is it like any other type of bass you've tried ? Almost bought one a few yrs back in burl maple but was a bit too much of a stretch on my budget. Dave Dave
  20. Just had a quick lok first 10 pages and some really nice basses in there and some great prices albiet postage is gonna be a bit more expensive but still some nice gear i haven't seen before. Blue sunburst Rik bass was stunning. Dave
  21. Don't know them ? The one i had originally been looking to have built was in Thomann exact same bass and then i saw the white one in Classic and Cool guitars and that was it for me. Love it, brilliant basses. I've played quite a few in shops tho so i knew what i was getting build wise. I'd definitely consider a passive VS4 to keep my VM4 company. Dave
  22. Saw a couple of Nash P basses at Over £2k. I know they are good but i've seen Nash P basses sell for £800 and they were nice looking basses too Having never tried one its hard to judge but even the Alembic seemed a tad pricey compared to other shops or BC. Obviously i'm no Alembic expert either. Dave
