  1. Looks like Glasgow standard tickets (x2) sold out. Can get a single seat for £138 or a VIP package for 2 at £799 but i get access to the VIP merchandise ......to buy something. The £138 seat is at the very back section of the Glasgow Hydra arena in the gods. Def not happening for me now. Dave
  2. Maybe the arena venues are just adding a higher cut and bumping up the ticket prices. Don't think i've ever seen an arena or stadium gig that i thought was excellent apart from Floyd in Earls Court 1980 doing the Wall but that's a full on show. Some have been good but never great. Venues that hold up to 5k i find have a better atmosphere. Dave
  3. I think musically Genesis should be ok. The only doubts were Phils vocals and perhaps his mobility. The music itself i expect will be pretty close to what they've always done, I simply grudge the ridiculous prices being charged but i also don't like huge venues where the band can be so far away it could be anyone on that stage. Many people have been asking for a Genesis reunion for years and the guys probably thought this might be their last chance to do it and keeping in mind that they were together as a band for many years so they will have a fair bit of Nostalgia for everyone. For anyone that goes i reckon you just need to accept that things might be a little different from their last tour but its still Genesis. Dave
  4. I can return that too if you leave your car parked with keys in the ignition and i'll leave your tenner with the Services staff.
  5. If you park your car in the same spot and leave the keys in the ignition i'll return your gear...........honest
  6. Just for info the GK MB200 puts out 200W @ 4 ohm and 140W @ 8 ohm so you could damage speakers if using just the one cab. MB200is quite a loud wee amp for its size. I have one used for sound effects pedal as a DI to PA. Before that it was used as a back-up amp and at occasional rehearsals when i couldn't be bothered humfing a heavy amp around Dave
  7. If you want them back i can return at your expense
  8. When a few people mentioned how much Phil pays out i was just curious to see what they are all worth.
  9. Don't think Genesis are short of a few quid. PC's net worth is currently £200 million. MR's net worth up to £45 million. TB's net worth £38 million Depends on which site you check but they have a few quid in the bank by looks of it and still they charge daft prices at their gigs.
  10. Thanks for that as i didn't know that. I usually go direct to the venue for any tickets
  11. Was it in plain sight or hidden in the boot. If hidden i'd be asking how they knew it was even there.
  12. A Wishy lad. My old hunting ground Girdwoods and Heathery and the Crown (later Sherlocks where i met my better half) when it was going. Those were the days of many many bands in Wishaw. Heading down to Girdwoods on 14th to see Emergency Exit. Our drummers other band. Fantastic punk covers band. Worth seeing. Dave
  13. Virginia Plain - Roxy Music Action - Sweet
  14. Love the bass tone on that song. Version i looked at was P bass into Orange rig. Dave
  15. Would love to see that when finished @Bilbo. One of my all time fav albums. Dave
  16. I bought that album and thought it was quite good. Didn't feel like Genesis tho. Reminded me more of Marillion from a certain era. Dave
  17. Sometimes its better to just keep your memories of bands when they were at their peak. Dave
  18. Personally i can but i won't. Few hundred quid for 2 decent seated tickets to see a band is too much and i grudge it nowadays. For those on low incomes i'm guessing it could be out of their range too. I am a Genesis fan from a past era but not enough of a fan to pay that. I've seen them before in 82 and loved it but i would rather go see a decent tribute at a smaller more intimate venue these days. I guess if you are a true Genesis fan you'll find the money to pay it. Dave
  19. Sorry to hear that George. Might be worth putting on the Central belt music gear FB page if they allow it to be posted. Hope you get it back. I'll share with friends on FB who play regularly in that area. Was it at a venue or home. All the best Dave
  20. Its been a few yrs since i was last at a large concert venue. Probably Rush Time Machine or Clockwork Angels Tour in Glasgow and had a seat directly behind sound desk and don't recall it being hugely expensive at the time. I had £35 in my head but that may have been the previous tour. I do remember them asking a ridiculous price the one 2 yrs after and tickets started at £65 i think same venue and i passed on that To be fair Rush do put on a good show and will play for approx 2-3hrs Dave
  21. If that's what ticket prices are like then i'll be giving it a miss too. Pretty sure they will sell out no matter what the price. Some artists have lost touch with reality of everyday life and the fact that it was the younger and poorer fans that made them so popular back in their heyday. Kinda disgusts me when i see this. Dave
  22. One of the nicest guys in the business. IMHO. So he's had a few probs over the years. He's still battling his health issues so i'm happy to give him a break. He's given me so much enjoyment over the years i feel i owe him that even as a mark of respect. Seconds Out was my fav era of Genesis and for me they were at their peak for that tour. Phil's first couple of solo albums started off with so much power and energy they will always be part of my fav albums. I only saw them on the Duke tour and thought Phil stole the show. Great singer, great drummer and a sense of humour on stage and great to watch. If ticket prices are reasonable i'll probably go again. I'll always have the image of Phil from late 70's / early 80's era. Dave
