Sold a few over past year or two including Dingwall NG2 5 er, Jaydee fretless, Peavey Cirus 5er and an Epi T bird. Bought a Sandberg VM4 and only today agreed to buy a Precison AVRI58 from one of our very own BC'ers. My others still remaining are :- Overwater Progress 6 string custom fretless Overwater J4 Warwick Thumb NT 89 Fender Jazz (Geddy Lee CIJ) Fender Precison Deluxe (MIM) Yamaha BX1 (defretted) In Total down to 8 now. Think that might be me complete. Well maybe a nice Rik to complete the triple of J, P and a Rik would be a nice collection. Will wait and see how i get on for Xmas.

Just sold my GK1001rbii head to Trevor. No nonsense transaction, great communication throughout and such a nice guy to deal with. Did exactly what he said he would do. Let me know right away when the amp arrived and even sent me a pic of his new rig with his stunning new Warwick bass. Altho Trevor is new to BC you can deal with him in absolute confidence. One of the nice guys to come into BC. Have fun with that new bass set up sir and maybe post a wee review on your full rig might be nice as its not a bass rig we see very often on BC. Thanks Trevor.

I can remember that day and have vivid memories of sun-bathing for those 2 hrs. Are you two mates in real life or just on BC.........or am i picking up some scent of sarcasm between you that is harbouring a deep hatred of each other.........OR........are you just a couple of nutters who love life and extracting the urine from each other obviously not literally. Keep it going thos cause it brightens up many a dull day for me. Dave

Now that you mention Freddie i get it even more. He was a non stop poser. All his famous poses are flooding back now mainly from Live Aid. He was a class act on that gig and without all the costumes. Just jeans and vest top yet he stole the show. Dave

Only took lessons for the first 12-18mths back in 76. Got the basics and i still use that to learn songs. Wish i had kept it going back then and learned more than the basics. I believe it makes you more fluent as a player but i've done ok with what i know. I still write all my bass parts out when learning a new song as it just helps me remember the song. Dave

That's pretty cool. So the more diagonals away from the vertical and horizontal then the pic should be more interesting. ? Its amazing what you can learn on BC. 👍 Thanks for sharing Dave

Can you show some more examples of the diagonal thing.

Again that just seems to capture the relaxed feel of the band. That's a more natural looking pose. I prefer that type of pic where you don't know its being taken.

I guess another way is to use the cameras and have a bit of daftness with them altho that requires you to be reasonably relaxed around them. Play to the camera as if it was a fanatical fan in the front row of the audience who is only there to see you in the band. Worth a try. Dave

That's a great pic Dave. I just try to imagine i'm playing at a huge venue and looking at the audience, even when its a small close up gig or even at rehearsals i try to imagine i'm on a huge stage playing to a crowd that wants to hear this band. I am quite self-conscious when i see a camera point directly at me but just try to ignore it. Sometimes i've looked a bit odd when its become obvious i've just seen the camera and don't know where to look and so i've tried to get round that with the huge stage image in my wee tiny head. Dave

From what i know it was a vegan cafe restaurant during day and live music venue in evening. Looks like its closed down now.

110% agree. Few guys in our band have had that virus. I've been lucky that it had little effect on me other than being a bit hoarse but not a sore throat. Drummer was left in bed for 3 days just completely shattered and it took him 1-2 weeks after that to feel well enough to gig. Get better and have a few gigs under your belt before giving up on something you clearly enjoy a helluva lot. As you say you are normally like a coiled spring. That tells me you just love playing in bands. Dave

It was Nice & Sleazy on Sauchiehall Street.

Had a wee support gig for friends Status Quo tribute band who were back together after few yrs off. Not a huge venue. Doors open at 7pm we started at 7:30 with a reasonable crowd who were extremely enthusiastic after every song. As the set progressed more and more people came downstairs from the bar area and it was about 60-70% full by time we finished. Couldn't believe the applause and cheering after every single song. Not bad for a support band in a wee downstairs club in Glasgow. Finished our set 8:30, packed up, changed (Glam Rock covers band) and on the road by 9pm. Home by 10pm. That was a nice wee easy gig. Used their bass rig (TE rig) and their drums. PA was in house with an engineer who knew his stuff and did a good job for both bands. Dave
