  1. @wateroftyne shared the instructions in an earlier post see above. Its a one A4 sheet with enough to explain the amp. The rest is trial and error i'm afraid. I read it when i got mine but its pretty standard stuff. Worth a read tho. All the best Dave
  2. Great amps. I tend to run mine with Gain at 1-2 o'clock and adjust the master between 10-12 o'clock. I like a little dirt especially when digging in. If you want a cleaner tone then how its set in the pic is the way to go and how Leszek from HB tells you to run the amp. I prefer my own traditional way of running an amp and once Gain is set i leave it there and adjust the Master Volume to suit. Run the Bass anywhere between 11-1 o'clock, Mid between 1-3 o'clock, Treble at 12 all depending on what bass i'm using. The mid has a quite an influence on this amp but it is a wonderful tone no matter what bass i use. I love my Godin Shifter Classic passive PJ thru it. It seems a perfect match for it. Make sure you get the speaker output matched to your cab is my one major bit of advice. I always run both my cabs so its always the 4ohm socket i use but if you mix and match your cabs ie 1 or 2 cabs its easy to get it wrong. Valve amps don't like a mis-match at all. Have fun and keep us posted on how you get on with it at gigs. Dave
  3. I remember doing a mini tour of Wales and England back in 80's with my leg in plaster like yours. It was a fracture and break that happened while playing footie and was pinned together. Had roadies to do all the donkey work and like you i just stood in the one spot and played. Was a 3 piece rock band. Happy days. Dave
  4. Band sounds really good to me. Enjoyed that. Good to see an old Peavey bass rig there. Dave
  5. Curious what the bass is in your pic there @stewblack ? Dave
  6. 100% on the Angus burger but BK are rare outside of city centres around this area whereas MacD's are far more common. The smaller Big Mac is a good size for me before a long drive home. Not sure i could eat an Angus burger before driving 2hrs +. Dave
  7. To be fair we all travel in separate cars these days as we are scattered across approx 100 miles. We try to aim for gigs somewhere between Wanlockhead and Perth. What i have found is that after a gig a nice wee McDonalds burger sets me up for a longer 2hr+ drive home altho A9 doesn't really have many service stops so you need to be "adaptable" after drinking a pint of cola before you drive. Dave
  8. I know check out my avatar. It gets very warm under that mass. Dave
  9. Our drummer was friends with Steve Priest and had a few drum lessons from Mick as a teenager. He knew the full band but was close enough to know the issues Brian was going thru. So sad to hear about it and see vids appearing from his daughters wedding when he wasn't at his best. Brilliant band and my first step into music really. I'm still in awe of just how good they were together. Dave
  10. Can't go wrong with some AC/DC. Its the favoured music in our gym for some odd reason, even younger girls like it and that always surprises me but its good to work out to. Dave
  11. Cheers @Boodang its always nice to know what gear the bass player's using. I know its a bit geeky but i am the proverbial bass geek. Dave
  12. What bass rig are you using for it. Some idiot is standing in front of the bass rig in this pic. Obviously he's not a bass player Dave
  13. Yep some mates went to see him and said it was a brilliant night. I'd go see that too but i like most things Floyd related. Dave
  14. That's true unless you've paid £100 to hear what is basically a tribute band. I think some tribute bands might actually be charging that kind of money these days. I'm thinking The Aussie Floyd band that play large concert hall style venues Dave
  15. Whitesnake are a good example of this debate IMO. Coverdale being the only original member. The band have gone thru various styles since the Marsden, Moody and Murray days and been quite successful thru them all. Personally i've not been a big fan since Neil Murray left. The commercial rock style wasn't really for me and they just sounded a bit too much like other bands. Lack of identity even these days i couldn't tell you who is in the band other than Coverdale. Same goes with Alice Cooper. After the original band split the band members were just "there" altho Alice Cooper band did produce some amazing albums like Welcome to my Nightmare which is one of my fav Cooper albums. Dave Dave
  16. Looks like a great gig / venue to play. Dave
  17. I'm not completely heartless but I usually don't know the other band at all and if i don't see them watching us then i have no probs leaving as soon as i've finished. Had some very stand offish and unhelpful bands i've been on same gig. On the other hand i've occasionally come across a really helpful group of guys that can't do enough and i'll always make a point of either staying for a bit or at the very least thanking them and/or explain we have a 2-3 hr drive ahead of us and wish them a good gig. Dave
  18. Must admit that if i'm supporting i usually pack up and head home mainly because i have to drive minimum of 1hr to any gig and its good to get home early from a gig for a change. Dave
  19. Link isnt there Daryl. Not available ? Dave
  20. Bet that was a wonderful tone. A P bass thru an Orange valve rig has to sound great. Dave
