  1. You gotta keep that for the Glam band. It just looks the part 100%. Dave
  2. Ooohh that is so nice. Would look great in the Glam band. If it wasn't for the fact my Mesa TT800 is due soon i might have gone for this even tho i already have a Geddy Jazz and a MarloweDK. So nice. GLWTS Dave
  3. That one was rubbish. Not a fan of this at all. To be honest i never really liked Chachi in Happy Days either. Dave
  4. Wasn't aware of that one either but on hindsight i do remember them in Happy Days first. Dave
  5. Cheers for that i had no idea. Mork and Mindy was a cracking series. Robin Williams at his very best. Dave
  6. You're just stirring it Using a spurtle of course. Dave
  7. Of course we do.
  8. The classic porridge
  9. We are a poor people. We eat what we can find. Dave
  10. Only if you make the traditional porridge rather than the microwave type. Dave
  11. I stand corrected it wasn't Ted Danson from Cheers but a guy called Ted McGinley who looked very similar to Danson in the early days. Leather Tuscadero was her character. I remember it well. Tom Hanks also played a part in one episode when he was very young. Think he was trying to kill Fonzie for some reason. ? Robin Williams as Mork was also in it.
  12. Its what makes us Scots a hardy race. Scotts porridge oats is the traditional favourite over here but there are other makes nowadays. My Father in Law is 86 and has porridge every morning for breakfast. He makes it the old traditional way in a large pot but you now get the microwave porridge in different flavours too. Just add milk and pop in the microwave for 2-3mins and its pretty tasty and quick. I like a little cold milk on top once cooked. I enjoy porridge once or twice a week for breakie. It keeps the hunger away for most of the day too. Dave
  13. Get home at 1am and have a hot milky drink. We have Horlicks over here (kind of malt hot milky drink) not sure you get that in US but i normally have a coffee with milk and a biscuit and then bed within 15mins after the coffee. The caffeine takes 20-30mins to have an effect on you so get to sleep before it hits. You'll be right as rain the next day. Drink some Lucozade Sport in the morning with your porridge to give you a wee lift for the day. Dave
  14. Watched a clip from Happy Days yesterday where Sam from Cheers was in it as a young adult. Dave
  15. Great amps, my goto amp at the moment. Does what it says it will. Ampeg tone and loud. Never let me down in the 12mths i've owned it and i've done a fair amount of gigs with both Glam and punk bands. GLWTS sale. Dave
  16. Nice one, should be a good night then. Dave
  17. Confidence Daryl, you'll smash this one, its what you guys do. Dave
  18. I see a Mesa bass rig there too. Is that the WD800 and 215 cab ? How you finding it. Dave
  19. Not had a gig in ages. Rehearsal got cancelled at weekend too. Got a biker rally on Sat night tho but its a 4hr drive each way. Nightmare drive home but thankfully my wife is coming along and can share the driving. One of those gigs where the fee barely covers the fuel. Dave
  20. Star billing there Daryl. Nice one sir. Looks like a great venue and show. Dave
  21. TITG by any chance at end of Aug ? Dave
  22. Go on Mickey, ask the question. Its why we're all here, to find out what basses and amps other players are using. No interest in any other gear, just the bass gear and name of the band is always nice. When i post i start with both venue and band name and usually end with bass gear. Dave
  23. Gotta Getaway and Nobody's Hero by S.L.F for the punk band's next gig at a bike rally in Tomintoul next weekend. We were due to rehearse today but due to health issues had to cancel. Dave
  24. Bit poor with the drummer of 9yrs. Don't understand people that do that. No need for it unless a massive blow out over something but when there are gigs in the diary you should still offer to honour them until a replacement is found. Hopefully a full replacement can be found quickly. Dave
  25. Enjoying a wee revival of Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. Had What's Next album on vinyl and bought a triple album CD incl LIVE, Tales of the Unexpected and What's Next. The guy is a terrific guitarist and the bass player is very impressive doing some really nice riffs for this kind of music. Here's a couple of tracks from it. Dave
