  1. I can understand it Our 3 cats are never phased either way when i satrt playing and wander in and out of the bass cave if i leave the door open.
  2. The cat is more important than a sale and its a perfect fit at the end of the kitchen units. Def a keeper.........the cat says so. Dave
  3. I tried that and the page was blank but found it elsewhere. Keep it.............go on, go on, go on, go on ....you know ya wanna. Dave
  4. What size and weight is it Stevie ? Dave Found it :- approx 26"H x 23" W x 16" D and approx 60lbs weight (approx 28Kg) Nice easy lift and not too big for a 410 cab.
  5. Hold your pint .................... i'll have it drunk before you turn the corner at the end of your road. These cabs got really good reviews from The Bass Whisperer and we all know he is God in disguise. Dave
  6. Have to agree here. Its not worth giving away at that price Stevie.
  7. I just don't know how you can remember all those songs. ? Dave
  8. At that price i'm stunned its not been snapped up. I even considered buying it myself Stevie just because its so cheap and a brilliant sounding cab. Dave
  9. Sounding good there, plus you have dancers, that's always a bonus. 👍 Dave
  10. The link to FB doesn't work. No content unless its on someone's private feed. Dave
  11. Your close up was taken from FOH ? ......... He's good. You need to work him more, he's new so wont know any better what his full job description is yet. Maybe some vids too from FOH as the sound quality at the desk is usually the best place for it. Dave
  12. Aha so you've been doing the jazz version of what i do.....................NICE !!!!!! Dave
  13. There are cheaper versions than Gruv gear that would be worth a try. I had no option at the time and altho i didn't find it particularly comfortable it did reduce weight on my left shoulder enough to help until my shoulder got better. The one thing with the version i had was it wasn't long enough for me and i couldn't get the extension strap at that time as it was when they came out and strap wasn't yet available in UK. I currently use it as a single strap where i made my own extension strap from a genuine leather belt i cut to size etc. Its definitely not something that comes naturally and took a bit of getting used to. As you say we are all different and best to try before buying if possible. I didn't have that option at the time. Dave
  14. I had a temporary shoulder issue similar to what you explain and i bought a Gruvgear Duo strap that has 2 straps over each shoulder and distributes the weight more evenly. Luckily for me the shoulder issue cleared after approx 6-12mths and i just used the one part of the strap which i have to this day. Mine is the 3" width version but i think they now do a slightly wider version. I went down the comfort strap road as well and they didn't help me either. It might help ??? Dave
  15. Nice Daryl, enjoyed that. Jack Bruce was one of my bass influences altho more so from his solo material with likes of Cozy Powell etc. I was playing that in a well known Glasgow venue in 80's with a 3 piece band when suddenly the drummer and singer/guitarist decided to stop and announce a bass solo from their new bass player. I was mortified but muddled thru and got a decent round of applause afterwards. I warned them not to put me on the spot like that again or i'd be out the door. I was using a WAL freless at that time so it allowed me to improvise a lot easier. I preferred playing it or any songs without bass solo's. I find bass or drum solo's boring unless its Neil Peart or Geddy Lee of course Dave
  16. Its not like them to make a booking mistake. Alan runs a tight ship there. Its rated one of THE best pub venues. I'm not sure whether he makes a call on a certain number of tickets being sold whether its called off or not. He doesn't muck bands about and is usually up front. I've found him one of the nicest owners / managers i've dealt with over the years i've been playing. Even with the punk band that first gig was reasonably quiet he was fine with it. He takes a percentage of the door money to cover some of the staff costs. Apart from bar staff he also has door staff and sound engineer to pay. Maybe with it being a Sat night he expected it to be busier. I know the punk stuff is a small dedicated audience and i'm assuming its the same with Goth style music. Dreadnought has always been more a rock venue over the years. He stopped the punk bands on a Sat night because audiences just weren't returning after pandemic but they are picking up a bit now and that's why he put us on a Sat night few weeks back. We were lucky that a large group of Blue Angels turned up at the punk gig. We play one of their club houses and we assumed they had come along to see us with a view playing other club houses. Had it not been for them it would have looked a bit emptier LOL Dave
  17. I've played there quite a few times. The punk band doesn't pull in a huge crowd maybe 30-50 on a Fri night and 60-80 on a Sat night. Fri night is a hit or a miss. Glam covers band tends to fill the place now that we've played it a few times. I've never known them to pull a gig as they do rely on street traffic paying at the door on the night especially these days with covid still hovering around. Sorry to hear it was pulled. What night were playing. ? Dave
  18. What's the band name. Why was the Bathgate gig cancelled. Its just 30mins from me and a great venue. Assuming its Bathgate in Scotland of course. Dave
  19. One of our regular venues in The Cave, Paisley Glasgow tonight 6-9pm. with the punk covers band Emergency Exit. Not overly busy but always a good enthusiastic crowd. Good feedback with sound engineer from another Glasgow venue saying the bass tone was amazing with plenty of low end and the top end really cutting thru the mix allowing the Les Paul guitar to sit right in the middle of the mix. Another guy has seen our Glam covers band 3 times and when he heard we were playing in Glasgow he cancelled another gig to come along and see us. I was quite chuffed with that. Used my P bass first set but wasn't entirely happy with it. Combination of wider neck and string spacing meant i was making a few mistakes so went back to old faithful Sandberg MarloweDK. I was using the P bass at home all week too but its different at gig pace and standing up so a little bit more work is needed on it. Not 100% sure i like the P bass tone for some of the more aggressive songs. It lacked clarity in the top end but it was ok and i would try again next gig. Have to admit the Sandberg just wins hands down in the punk band. Dave
  20. Sorry to hear you got made redundant but hopefully the gig cheered you up a bit. Hope you get another job soon. All the best Dave
  21. What's wrong with the B-stock items ? Prices look better on the outlet Dave
