  1. Cheers for that. I did read that hockey puks work as isolators but not tried them. Dave
  2. What's the orange mat you have the cab sitting on. ? Is it for stage isolation like the Gramma pads ? If so does it work ok and where did you get it. I have a gramma pad but my stacked cabs wobble a fair bit on it and was looking for other options. Dave
  3. I'll check that model out. Is it a direct replacement for the standard P one. ? Dave
  4. Are you just Dan Veall or Dan Bassist Veall on FB ? Dave
  5. OK i would never have got that. I'm thinking something more substantial like the fender hi-mass or i think Hipshot versions look good. Dave
  6. OK a dafty question here but what is BBOT ? I know its probably obvious once someone tells me but its just not coming to me at all and its mid afternoon so no early morning brain fade excuses Dave
  7. Handy to know as i'm looking to replace the bridge and tuners on my vintera P bass. E tuner is very grindy and tight when fully tuned. Others are OK. I was looking to put a drop D tuner on too. With regards the bridge i'm finding the saddles are dropping when i play for extended periods. I've put some loctite on the saddle screws at moment until i replace the bridge. Think i'll avoid Wilkinson by sounds of this thread. Dave
  8. Started this morning with the Bergantino B-amp review from Youtube shared to my FB page and i'll see how else i can get it out there Dan. Dave
  9. Will make a conscious effort to share your vids. I'm always looking at gear and i always enjoy your reviews so it should be easy enough to start things moving. Dave
  10. What's the best way to share Dan. I normally would share them on my FB page but open to any other options that can help. Dave
  11. Of course we care. BC is a family. I'm good to help any way i can. Dave
  12. Actually have a few weekends off from playing while singer on hols. Gives me time to catch up on my chores and other hobbies. Dave
  13. No its not so big in Scotland altho i have a few friends that never miss it. Dave
  14. I'm considering fitting one to my P bass as i only use the drop D for Into the Valley by The Skids. The tuning peg on the E string is very tight too and even tho i've stripped it and greased any moving parts its still the same when tuned up. The other pegs are fine so don't know what's going on with it. Dave
  15. aye me too. Dave
  16. Don't be going daft with my pics now that you've mastered it Dave
  17. 100% agree but don't "bass" it on one gig. Dave
  18. Maybe over-thinking it a bit. Try and accept it as a paid rehearsal. Sometimes other things happen, maybe another event on locally. Do the next gig 20 mins away and see how that goes. Sounds like you've put a fair bit of work into this band and i dont hear any complaints from you about the band and its members so i'm guessing all good in that department. Not easy finding good guys to work with so stick with it a while longer. We all have "down days", its part of being in a band. Let it pass and get back out there with a positive can do attitude and all will be well in "The Shire" again. 👍 Dave
  19. Surprised this isnt long gone by now. At one point there was a huge demand for Handbox amps. Great amps. If i didn't have my WB-100 i would have jumped at this. Dave
  20. I sometimes get that feeling too but then i ask myself what else would i do at weekends and would i miss it. Audiences in some venues haven't quite come back after pandemic so i'd give it a bit more time. You may have it unlucky that your friends had something else on. We've been caught out that way with the Punk covers band when a major punk band was playing round the corner ........... literally and everyone was there. It was a last minute gig they booked and it was too late for us to change the gig. We played to a handful of people but we just treat it as a paid rehearsal. Try and stay positive and give it a little more time for people to start going out again. Fri nights can be odd gigs too as i have my own theory that many people can only afford to go out one night a week if even that and a Sat night suits them better. Do you enjoy playing with this band and do you get along with them all. If the answer is yes then stick with it a while longer. Dave
  21. Nice one hope you feel ok. Dave
  22. Does anyone have a pic of the Shuker. Might help to motivate us all. Dave
  23. Is Dan ok with us doing this. Wouldn't like him to be offended in any way. Dave
  24. Nice looking bass there. Dave
