Providing i have train fare, i'll certainly be up for that. Liam

Some do some don't. I expect Mikey Way uses a Fender CS version of his signature bass, which is actually not a bad bass. I think most people with lower end signatures (Price not quality) tend to use more expensive versions, except a few like Eric Bass (Shinedown, Dean Signature) who will literally just use an off the shelf model. The first thing I would do is go and test the BH500 with a 2x10 cab, and also again with a 2x12, and see which you prefer, as they are very good amps. Youtube demo's can be good, but hearing them in person is always better, so i'll add in that if you can't find something you like in the shops, ask around on here, as someone relatively local may have what you want and allow you to demo it or hear it at a gig.
We bought a zoostorm at work on a whim to run a couple of massive printers and RIP software, we figured if it died, then it died, it's been really good. Not a single problem in the year and a half we've been using it, and cheap as all cheapness too. Don't diss the zoostorm.
Not got a problem with Zoostorm (Except my dads netbook dying) just i want something faster and more robust, and with multiple monitors. Liam

Sorry for the atrocious picture and the mess, i'll take a better one when i have it set up again, but here's my very cheap and very mediocre setup. Lexicon Alpha into a £150 Zoostorm pile of cr*p running Win7 and Reaper. Using my old Phillips Hifi as DIY monitors along with a pair of Logitech headphones. The tablet is there to act as a midi controller once i get the app running properly. Liam

I can't see any problem with that. I've seen a few people with tuners last in the chain using it as a complete mute, so you should be fine. Liam
-
Happy Birthday Clarky, hope you have a brilliant day. Liam

What you need to replace your Behringer depends on how many channels you're wanting to record. I use a Lexicon Alpha, which is just a stereo USB interface (Guitar and mic input, or line level for keyboards), running into Reaper, and i do all of my tone shaping using VST's in Reaper. I wouldn't recommend the Alpha though. It is a good interface, but there's much better out there, such as the Focusrite Scarlett series and M-Audio stuff. Liam

I've got a friend with a Havoc John Moyer signature which has been his main bass for a few years now, Sounds damn good to my ears as well. Liam

P Bass for me. I don't have a problem with either, just I prefer a P bass. They're a bit more comfortable to me. Liam

The Plethora Of Long Lasting Strings
LiamPodmore replied to BASainty's topic in Accessories and Misc
I've got a set of Elixirs on my P. They've not lasted as long as I hoped, but i'm very good at killing strings (I killed a set of EB Slinkies in 6 days once) so they've actually lasted quite well. Only problem is that with the price hike, i think they're too much. I've been recommended to check out Cleartone strings as well, so maybe add them to your list? Liam -
Ay, I'd have a Musicman type custom. If they built them I'd buy one...but they don't.
They do, if you're one of their famous artists, but not for us normal folk. I'd go around and play loads of different basses, see what i liked, and either get a custom based on those specs, or see what you can get off the shelf, then bank the rest. Liam

Is there no way to ask the person you bought it off what strings they use/had on that bass? Liam

Hercules Stands ( Strings and Things) Customer Service
LiamPodmore replied to yorks5stringer's topic in General Discussion
I use a grab stand like those, not Hercules ones as i'm cheap, but it's the exact same design as the first one, and i've only ever had 2 little problems with them. 1 of the arms on one broke after it got hit with a headboard and fell over onto a wooden floor with a bass in, and my 5 string Jazz doesn't fit as it's got a tree trunk neck. Other than that they've been as good as anything else IMO. Liam -
Daft Pun (Tribute Bands with Inventive Names)
LiamPodmore replied to cloudburst's topic in General Discussion
There's a local one to me called Genes-ish. Some of my other favourites (Names, not necessarily to listen to) are The Antartic Monkeys, AC/DSHE, ThundHerStruck and Misstallica, Liam -
Most will be able to do that straight off I believe, except maybe the more specific ones like the Lehle 1@3 and others similar to that. Liam
-
A grippy as hell strap. I got a Klondyke one with my P bass that's about 3" wide, unbacked leather, and it holds my Squier 5 string without any problems. Liam
-
Either a Squier CV, new or used, or you can have a hunt for an 80's or 90's Japanese Fender on here. Those would be my suggestions.

I'm in A Little Bit Outlaw (See below) We're currently on hiatus but after summer we'll be back making more of a racket for the entertainment of others. Liam
-
Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Busted, McFly, Son Of Dork, Jessie J, Olly Murs, Katy Perry. That'd do me, obviously not all on at the same time so i could watch them all. Liam

If i'm playing a bigger gig where i know everything will be through the PA, i'm more than happy just turning up with my bass and my pedalboard. Unfortunately when we're at pub gigs the PA can't handle it (Though that may change when we get back together), so i have to use an amp. I prefer not having one, it gives me more room to run around and less things to break. Liam
We headlined the re-opening of our revamped city park this weekend. They reckon there were 5000 people through the gates. It was a 40k rig.... and I was in bass heaven.
I must add a +1 to the beardage love. I've never seen that pickup combo on a bass either, something you found or did you decide to order it like that? Liam -
I don't mind them when they come on the radio or something, though I will admit, i ended up fast forwarding their Glasto' set after about 40 minutes, i got bored. So i think i can say that i can stand 45 minutes of M&S. Liam
