I haven't had the need to use more than one bass yet, but i've done the same live. If a certain bass sounds better for a certain song, then there's no harm in using it if you ask me. If it was suggested that i try my Jazz instead of my P for a song, then i'd try it. If it sounds better, it sounds better, if not, just go back to the P. Liam

[/quote] By daisy chain i was meaning the cheapo bog standard type things that i'm currently using, not a higher quality one like the Diago. I'd love something like a PP2, but at the moment i can't afford anything in that kind of region, and have no need for something that big as like you say, i'm only using 3 pedals. All i need is something that doesn't cost a fortune and powers my pedals without noise wherever i am (My daisy chain only has noise in my bedroom for some reason, it was fine downstairs and in the rehearsal studio) Liam

At the moment, a Warwick ProFet 5.1 and a laptop bag (Perfect size to fit in the spare 2U when it's full of cables and stuff), though it will be emptied later this week as i need my head on Friday and the rack is too big and bulky to fit anywhere. It's moving into a 2U next week though. I planned out a whole rack setup, that ended up at something like 8 or 10U, but it's just too big. Like Chris, i prefer everything at my feet, it weighs less and is much less bulky, which is always a bonus. Liam

Just bought Andy's Kinsman pedalboard. Very easy man to deal with, and it was in the exact condition he said it was and packed incredibly well. I'll be dealing with him again if i get the chance. Liam

Boss TU-2 - Marshall JH-1 Jackhammer - Behringer BDI-21 Preamp. Next additions are going to be a proper power supply (Diago or Harley Benton) not a daisy chain, A Joyo JF12 Fuzz/Ultimate Octave, some form of Octaver, most likely an MXR, and a chorus. Liam

I've had good service from the Manchester branch of Dawsons (Never bought anything but they've been more than accomodating with letting me try things out and finding out prices to order stuff in for me), as well as HW Audio and Booths Music in Bolton, both only used for strings, picks and cables really, but again i've had no problems in either of those two, even when they know i'm not going to be spending much money. I went watching Simple Plan, supported by We The Kings on Wednesday at the HMV Ritz in Manchester, and i was pleasantly surprised when their bassist, David, ran on stage with a lovely looking Squier Precision, which sounded absolutely HUGE, probably the best sounding bass used on the night (Strangely, every other bass used was a Fender Precision). The white SVT-810's he was running into looked absolutely marvelous as well. Not my pic, but it was this one: Simple, yet looks brilliant, with a sound to match. Their guitarist had a lovely baby pink (Think Fender Mark Hoppus) Telecaster too. As for the music, it was one of the best gigs i have ever been to, beaten only by Shinedown Liam

I zone out quite often, especially at rehearsals and gigs. Turn up in the middle of some of our evening rehearsals and you'll most likely think that i'm asleep (sometimes that's been true). At gigs i'm more focused on what to do after the gig, what i'm doing the next day, and any attractive females in the audience. Liam

The one on the Line 6 M5/9/13 does Octave Up if i remember correctly, but i'm pretty sure you don't want to buy a Multi FX just for one effect. Liam

I can easily read tab. I learnt it as the lowest line is the lowest (Pitch wise) string. I really need to learn to read music, and use my ear, i just don't have the time or motivation at the moment. Liam

My main band used to play in Standard, Drop D, D Standard and Drop C. I was getting sick of the constant re-tuning and my strings being slack in the lower tunings, so i got a bass where i didn't have that problem. Liam

Si, have you ever thought of starting a blog, where you go through all the tricks and techniques you use when recording (something similar to Shep's, but obviously to do with recording), i reckon it'd be a pretty useful thing for people wanting to know more about what they're doing, as you seem to have quite a lot of knowledge on the subject. [b]Fender Japan Precision:[/b] Love: Lightweight, balances perfectly, looks amazing, and has a huge sound. Hate: The battery box on the back, and the intonation seems to have gone out quite a bit now the sun's come out. [b]Squier Deluxe Jazz V:[/b] Love: Sounds brilliant, the active EQ is incredibly versatile, quite a robust bass, and i got it for abour £130 cheaper than it should've been Hate: It weighs a tonne, the nut is HUGE(51mm), 19mm string spacing so replacement pickups might not work so well, the bass itself is huge, and it eats gig bags. We paid £200+£25 Mixing and Mastering fee (White Bear Studios, Adlington) for our last recording (Hard to Get on the youtube channel below) although we went to another studio to do some guest vocals, which was i think £160 a day, including mixing and mastering, and my god it was a good studio (Alien Sound in Ormskirk) Liam

[/quote] Big +1 to the BDI-21, i've been using mine constantly for the past few months, and as per Chris's suggestion above i'm pairing it with a Marshall Jackhammer and maybe a Joyo Fuzz for some nasty sounds. Incredibly versatile little box, but make sure you get one with a working power adapter, as it eats batteries like a b*tch. Liam

Welcome to the forum, it may be called Basschat but we even have a section for guitars too, so your top priority is to get some pics posted (If you haven't already) of your lovely sounding gear. I absolutely love the HT-5's, get the head version running through a good cab and you can get some serious volume, same with the HT-1 i tried too. Liam

My Lexicon Alpha has an input and output latency of 18ms each, and that's without any VST's. I tried going direct into my soundcard once and there was no way that i could get the gain down low enough to not clip my PC's line in, so i bought the Alpha.
