1. Ibanez SR or a Yamaha TRB sound like a good fit. Liam
2. Snapping a string whilst tuning, on stage, infront of about 300 people, just before we started our set.... Thankfully, i didn't actually NEED that bass, i just used it to make my life a little easier, and could just throw it in a corner and grab my 5 string and singers capo. Liam
3.
Some cabs have their wheels on the side - why ? Dave
So that the cab can be wheeled around, but then placed on the floor normally for that "XTRA DEEP BASS" that cab manufactures once raved about, and to make the floor shake, which just gets annoying. Personally, i prefer removable wheels, best of both worlds. Liam
4. 2 of my favourite, both by Tyler Ward: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECRg_Vo0TX0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff2lz6hnQRA&feature=related I wouldn't say either of them are strictly pop, but both very poppy to me. He's outstanding live, i was on the tour the first video is from (I think you can see me somewhere, on the left of a girl with a panda hat on) and although he made many lyrical mistakes, it was a phenomenal night. Liam
5. Herman Li of Dragonforce. Although he's crap, and easily the worst guitarist in the band, he does dominate. Liam
6. I use Dunlops on my Fender, and Fender ones on my Squier. I must say, i much prefer the Dunlops, they feel a lot more solid, even more so than the Schallers i had last year as well. Liam
7.
yeah the Warwick Jonas Helborg stuff is just crazy money. aint it around £1500 for just the pre amp?
£1400 for the preamp and £1350 for a 2x250w Power Amp. That's £2750 for a preamp and 500w power amp.... Liam
8.
The G50 has more channels - 12, instead of the 6 for the G30. Also, the G50's transmitter is made of metal, while for the G30 it's plastic. They use a different connector too for the short cable to the bass, don't know what difference that would make though. I'm a G50 user - and I think it's the best bit of kit I've ever bought. Bonus is it happily takes a Boss-type power supply so it's ideal for my pedal board. Edit: the G90 has a much bigger receiver - could be for rackmount, but I'm not sure.
Yep, the G90 is a rackmount reciever. I'm going for the G50 myself (When i can afford it) and it's going to get stuck on my pedalboard (When i can afford that too) so i want the metal casing over the plastic of the G30. Hopefully wont be too long till i can, always scouting around for a used one on here too. Liam
9. I'm not a fan of Warwicks but my God that thing is beautiful. That'd get hung on my wall just to look good, even if i didn't play it. Liam
10. Bass isn't about the notes, it's about the space between those notes. I do the same as you, never notice i'm doing it until i actually think about doing it. Liam
11. Love everything but the fretboard, i can't stand rosewood on most things anymore, and i have no idea why. Liam
12. My Jap P (Candy Apple Red & Maple) was £380, so i'd expect £400-£450 to be a rough benchmark for a Japanese Fender. Liam
13. My personal choice in that kind of price range would probably be a Stingray 5, or possibly a Sadowsky. Liam
14. P!nk - Funhouse (Lovely and warm, fat tone) You Me At Six - Loverboy (Grindy and evil, like a snarling pit bull) That Sunday Feeling - Greater Heights (Quite quiet but a rather good overdriven VT/SVT 4 Combo) Nickelback - When We Stand Together (Always loved Mike's tones, huge tone on this) I probably have more, but i can't think of any at the moment. Liam
15.
Does that work when you're shagging your mate's bird too?
Never tried it, but i urge you to try if you feel that way inclined. Liam
16. My theory: Don't tell him, but if he asks, then be truthful, and if he asks why you didn't tell him, use the age old answer of you didn't ask... Works in most situations (Or that's probably just for me actually) Liam

Behringer

Band uses a 500w Powered Mixer, and i use a BDI21, only problem with either being the power socket on the BDI which has failed. Liam
18. Bass, pronounced as in Base. The only times it should be other way is when discussing the fish, or Eric Bass (Bassist of Shinedown, who annoyingly says it like the fish, not the right way, which isn't as amusing) Liam
19. I use a Lexicon Alpha, but like you, i occasionally have problems with the volume being too low, and have to resort to a Behringer BDI21 for a bit of extra grunt, but on the whole it's been a brill little unit. The cover below was done with one (Running audio into one channel and bass into the other) Liam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIaEoqz5qCs
20. I think the most authentic act in pop today has to be Lady Gaga, she writes her stuff, she writes other people's stuff, and she has a brilliant set of pipes. Yes, the stage show might not be called Authentic, but she sure can. That and she ALWAYS has a good band backing her. All in my opinion, of course. Liam
21. The last (And only) gig i did with flats i was having problems hearing myself on the lower notes. Love my flats, but i'll probably only gig them again in certain situations. Liam
22. Cr*p. We we're playing in a sports hall and no matter what the guy on sound did that room just sounded sh*t. Probably didn't help that the PA didn't look like it was up to scratch either. Big room, and we played pretty much flawlessly, just issues with feedback and the room itsself. Liam
23.
Yes tried one in music scene - sr 205 ? Didn't like it, which surprised me
My GSR200 has a different neck to the SR300's i've tried, so an actual SR might be different to the GSR, cheapest is the 300/305 Liam
24. Anything Singlecut that isn't acoustic (Also applies to guitars, with the exception of LP shapes) and SG basses. Liam
