1. If the 2x10 is still here after christmas (And i get paid) i'll take it. Liam
2. I'll see if i can get to this, if i get back from college in time. The in house engineers at Academy seem to always do a top notch job when i'm there, so you aren't wrong about that. Hopefully see you there. Liam
3.
Poncing like a tit at a gig I fell flat on my face and broke the jack off in the socket. And split my pants. Borrowed a bass from the support for the next song; the roady had taken the pickguard off my bass, removed the broken bits of plug, bolted it all together and tuned it before the end of the song. My pants remained unmended. heh heh, I said 'jack off'
Okay, thats a pretty effecient roadie. Playing Stacy's Mom at the biggest gig we'd ever done, and my strap snapped mid song. I was stood holding my bass up (10lb) by the B string with my ring finger and plucking with the other 2. That was really entertaining. I got a new strap after that gig (Which is a monster of a strap btw, if there ever could be such a thing). Liam
4. 1994 Squier Affinity Jazz Bass (Given to me in 2007, this thing was older than me, sold the body, neck and pups to Monckyman on here) 2007 Ibanez GSR200 2007 Squier Deluxe Jazz Bass V (Bought in 2009, shop floor model, which broke) 2010 Squier Deluxe Jazz Bass V (Replaced the broken 2007 model, main gigging bass now) Bit of a measly total compared to some peoples, but not too bad anyway. Liam
5. Seymour Duncan Basslines, or any Wizards, is what i would choose personally. Which model of each depending on the sound i wanted obviously. Liam
6.
There is a wireless system where u can get the output from your bass and input from the pa for vocals i.e monitor output, was about £170 if i recall sounds like exactly what you are looking for
Wireless IEM System, many on offer ranging from about 200 quid to well over a grand, but you also need good earbuds which can be costly. I used to use Hearos Rock n Roll series earplugs, but now i use some mould your own customs which are a hell of a lot better. I don't sing, unless you count shouting a few things into a mic, so i don't really know how they are with vocals. Liam
7. Brian J. Robinson (A Wilhelm Scream): Showed me that you can play more than just root/5th in pop/punk/alternative (Take a look at The Horse) Johnny Christ (Avenged Sevenfold): Spawned my love of Stingrays, and he has amazing tone Chris Wolstenholme (Muse): An ABSOLUTE MONSTER. Need i say more.... Phenomenal player and tone, made me push myself with my playing. Kasim Sulton (Ex. Neverland Express/Meatloaf): I don't know, every time i saw him play i wanted to pick up my bass and play. Matt Green (A Little Bit Outlaw Lead Guitarist): When he asked me to replace him as bassist so he could take on lead, my playing progressed so much when i joined this band, as it took me totally out of my comfort zone in terms of genre, tunings, and just general band related things. Liam
8. Bought my first bass and amp from Gear4Music. Was delivered on time, without any problems whatsoever, and their pricing is good. I would definately buy from them again. Liam
9.
This is Michelle. Fender Am Std, w/ added SD Quarter Pounders & Badass III bridge (Sorry if the pic is too big, I couldnt resize it!)
Pretty much my dream precision right there. Just fit it with a Hipshot D-tuner and it'l be spot on. Liam
10.
You learn and develop by doing and I've always found that being in a band is a great way to learn and develop.
Just to add to my previous post, i have to agree with this BigRedX, i joined a band after about a month (Yes, we were sh*te) of playing. I joined the band i'm in now after a year, and progressed pretty quickly as soon as i did. Liam
11. I do remember feeling that i'm a bit crap and will never improve to the level that i wanted. Now, 4 years later, i have reached and surpassed the level i wanted to be at. It doesn't show in my main band (As thats more of a root/5th/octave kinda thing) but in my newly formed band it will do. I'm now playing stuff i couldn't even dream of when i started. Liam
12. No idea on the price but, I WANT!!!!!!!!! Liam
13. Dougie Poynter of McFly. I haven't watched I'm A Celeb (It is crap) but i am a fan of McFly. He's a decent player, he does what he needs to, and i want his basses. Metalflake Musicman Sterling 4's with Matching fret LED's... Yes please.... Liam Not to mention the frontman (Danny) is a Local lad from Bolton, which makes them a little bit better in my eyes.
14. I would go for a Squier or an Ibanez personally. Best budget basses going in my opinion. Liam
15. Heard A LOT about you guys in the past, and i honestly have to say that i love your name, one of the best tribute band names around tbh. Simple yet entertaining and a good description. Liam
16. Aerodyne or a P Deluxe sounds like just the treat to me. P/J Pickups. Liam
17. I use EB Slinkies on my 5 string, and i got a set of Picato flats for a 4 string off Dave.C which i absolutely love. Liam
18. I've been debating getting a VT Deluxe Modded to fit in a rack and work with an 8 button MIDI Footswitch (Presets 1-6, Tuner Mute and Bypass) but i know it would be a costly job, if its even possible. Liam
19. Boschma, Gator, SKB, or Spider/Flightcase Warehouse would be my choices. Liam
20. The guy on lead (If you can call it that) has some brilliant facial expressions. I quite like this actually, its different, and quite interesting. Liam
21. My mum, dad, and grandparents on both sides are not musical at all. I do have musicians in my family, but none of them closely related. I think my desire to pull things apart and see how they work may have come from my great grandad though, he was always doing it up until the day when he phsyically couldn't any more. Liam
22. I'm planning on eventually buying probably an Epi Pro IV, sending it off to SIMS Custom Shop for a nice refinish in Metalflake Green or Metalflake Pink, with matching fretboard LED's and new hardware and pickups, when i can afford it...... Liam
23.
I've useda PS3 singstar mic adapter
Never thought of that, some of my bands acoustic redordings were done with a Rock Band USB mic. I think i might go for the Alpha actually, it seems pretty good for the price and does what i want. Liam
24. I'm after a cheap (Under £50 prefferably) USB Audio Interface for recording some youtube covers, all i need is 1 in 1 out in terms of channels, and obvisously a line input. Been looking at the Lexicon Alpha which seems like it will do the job, but is there anything better for that price? Liam
25. £250 altogether. £150 for the Warwick and £100 for the cab (A Peavey 1x12 borrowed from my bands PA rig) Liam
