my custom is ready... full disclosure (i've seen people getting stoned for less on here) : i do work with Adrian for his dealer network. This bass however is not for sale and will not be. This is my own personal one.

lower end series won't happen. due to no orders anymore. He's hoping to reach roughly 25 / 27 instruments per year, but definitely no lower range serie... cheers
I wonder this too. I don't actually know.
yes they do on request

i've bought one out of curiosity some weeks ago. in my opinion they've made quite a few Fender's completely irrelevant , while still being at a much lower price point. Congrat's on Marcus miller for managing that.
According to the Mensinger Facebook page, he's looking at expanding next spring, is that correct?
Yes i know things are happening and looking into expanding. Don't know details though.
Really? That small? I remember reading he employed 15 people. I had assumed it was 15 working as builders. His English isn't the best, however I've got nothing except good things to say about communication, aside from not having an out of hours/we're automated message. But Adrian has contacted me via email really late at night too. So overall pretty good things to say.
the team in germany is 3 or 4 people i think... indeed ... to my knowledge (could be wrong) there's about 13/14 people in Poland.
I know Adrian as 100% reliable. If you visit him in Aldenhoven in Germany, (what I recommend) you'll see, that it is a Family Business at least. The Basses are made in Poland by Mensinger Guitars. In Aldenhoven Adrian lives with his Wife and his Daughter in a Farm House, with round about 600 Basses and Guitars in Stock. He does all by himself. He has Customers there, who test Basses and buy them at his House (like I do),. Also he has an Recording Studio, is a Bass Teacher, is always in Contact with the Mensinger Company and the Customers who get in Contact via e-mail. As far as I know the whole Work is done by only a few (3-4) People. At least you also can give him a Call. He is not the Best in "speaking english", but his Daughter does well. kind Regards Tom
well put, been there twice and going back tomorrow. Small Family business for sure. Very inspiring place , considering that he started 10 years ago with 4 basses and now has 600 at his show room. His house is utterly inspiring for me. When he started his company 10 years ago there was 3 people building in Poland. He now has 19 people under his orders. (or around that number total , German team + Polish team) 100% reliable for sure. cheers
He's just an extremely busy guy, who probably receives squillions of emails. I miss emails sometimes too.
yeah....
-
Adrian is one of the busiest person i know of, so i would just be patient. he is however extremely good with emails (lots of other people should take example lol) , so i would advise trying again from another account. I don't even want to know how many emails he gets per day ... so i would extremely surprised he gets to check his junk folder....

How 'good' were those first generation Japanese Squires?
pierreganseman replied to The-Ox's topic in Bass Guitars
definitely a big "collector effect" on them .... as there's no difference that i can hear between A serial Fender or JV serial Fender ... yet one is likely to be worth 3 or 400 more than the other. that being said those early Japanese things represent for me unbeatable price VS quality .... to me ears -
WITHDRAWN Squier JV 1st Series 57 Precision WITHDRAWN

hmmmmm hard to say with so few info. I've had a LOT of Squire JV and have never had any with SQ-JB on neck pocket... it should have a "D" ..... keep in mind though that Fender Japan is just like Fender USA , there's a LOT of things that "don't make sense" but still obviously exist..... I've had A serial Fender (Japan) dated 1985 on neck heel but that was pre mid 83 (made in Japan on headstock and not at back of neck) and pickups that had 82 Usa codes (only available on high end Fender JV) + japanese electronics ........ so it if sounds good, i wouldn't worry too much ....

I do not know Adrian's Policy on that but I seriously doubt he is gonna be happy paying for work of somebody he doesn't know in the UK. On the other hand i am completely sure if the bass has a problem he would be happy to sort it out. I would seriously advise to call him. I know some other manufacturers completely VOID their warranty if somebody does work on their instrument with being pre-aproved ... proceed with caution ... and I completely agree : send it back and get in touch ...

Many of his stuff have been send to me with a crazy low action so I would guess that's what he does "standard".. Just raise it ... No issue there. I'm sure you know what you like .... and Adrian doesn't ...simple .. we are all different
-
I would tend to agree... Even at 1800 euros I think an Elwood L 5 is I think still amazing... Absolutely kills a Fender Dlx 5 USA. In my opinion ...

Hi, frets sticking out of bass have happened to me on a lot of basses I have had over the years. Brands I shall not name as its not the point and a lot of them were way more expensive things than Adrian's stuff. Its usually a 10 minutes job for any qualitfied tech. Surprising though as i really LOVE fretjobs on the ones I have here, just as good as any other brand out there , usually costing at least twice those.
-
of course ... for 12 people to build 500+ per year you cannot avoid batch building... cheers
-
I was at Adrian's headquarters yesterday. Very nice and passionate person.... Its a scary place to be : about 500 instruments ... Literally EVERYWHERE ... I saw all of you guys new basses hanging on walls. Not played them of course. Wouldn't dare. They did around 400 Customs last year and are already around 40 for 2016.... daaaaaaammmm i recommend to anybody to go and drop by
-
that's a very sexy bass ! i'm still impressed every time I see one of their basses ..... such quality for stupid money....
-
Hi all , I know a bit Adrian , he and I are chatting often as we work together. I can safely say he is so passionate about his company and his Job... he will NEVER sell to anybody. There's actually 17 people working and living thanks to his basses. They have experienced their best year so far in 2015 by building more than 500 Basses and something like 368 custom O_O ....

pierreganseman replied to danbanbass's topic in Bass Guitars
The trouble is I like them all...
i understood long ago there's no such things as too many basses...... always a reason to have more ..
