1.
Anybody play a Jazzus? If so, how does it compare to a US Fender Jazz?
the jazzus is a 34 scale on a shorter body. (you'd have to ask adrian if you needed exact measurements) to me they're nicer as they have perfect balance (i played many when at adrian's house) ....
 2.
Is it done yet? By the way, does anyone know if Adrian does neck through versions of the Jake/Elwood?
hi hi, i had to ask for a customer once. As far as i know he does do them. Didn't seem to be a problem back then.
 3.
What is the standard neck shape like on a Jake?
standard is Modern C shape , 21mm at 1st fret but again Adrian can supply just about any shape as far as i know
 4. ah , They're at Namm , i should go one day haha
 5.
That is awesome!
so awesome that its kinda rude ;-)
 6. lol , adrian actually had done a video of my custom : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB6qgyJSuOI&index=44&list=PLzWxuTpz0aNheLTDqWv1SaIqtG7gvazml get your disco look on ;-)
 7. yea , sounds better than my Fender. Oups.... :-D
 8. just received my Jake 54 style P Butterscotch ;-) sounds better than my Fender JV , oups .... hah
 9.
Well I have a pair of Dingwalls (a Super P5 and a Super J5), and I much prefer the string length to the Combustion I had before both in terms of playability (small hands) and tone (the G really sings at 32", and the B is still tighter than a Fender at 35"). Here's a clip I did of my Super J a couple nights ago (guest starring my Egyptian Mau, Chloë). https://www.facebook...55003439092932/ Would really like to try one of the Maruszczyks. If he can make a six string fanned fret, then I'm REALLY interested.
of course he can ... custom order only most likely.
 10. Just to warn you guys its insanely busy in Public Peace towers (NAMM show etc) So be easy with answer to emails etc haha cheers
 11.
Well this was a nice surprise, only ordered this about 7 weeks ago and was told 12 to 15 weeks. Jake 32" Scale, active with Delano pickups and set up in B-E-A-D.
yeah , 15 weeks is mega worse, often quicker
 12. just saying for people looking to do orders soon : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiE16oStueM i have one of those at home for my private and personal use (not such thing as too many , only the girlfriend or wife can say something and i don't have any) those pickups are absolutely outstanding. Absolutely love it , very sort of "jazz bass" like but with some more guts and "hmmmpf" ... super mega ultra cool ....
 13. hasn't been that quiet on here in a while .... where's every body? all hungover ?
 14. really love Adrian's playing. Wojtek I'm equally Fan , amazing slap player. However there's some stuff on youtube where he plays a 6 string and no slap. Absolutely stunning player overall.
 15.
Yeah I saw that earlier, he's a superb bass player. So they're opening the new location next, right?
i think 2017 will for sure bring new things. Lets all keep eyes open :-D
 16. Guys :-) Wojtek Pillichoski now joins Maruszczyk instruments as exclusive endorser. (he's the big guy who breaks basses with his thumb LOL) amazing ! next step is open for Maruszczyk Instruments ! proof hard work does pay off!
 17.
E-mailed Adrian yesterday afternoon; a whole 18 hours later and STILL NO REPLY! And, even worse, no explanation of why there's been no reply!!
i suppose workload must be nuts...
 18. yes Adrian is working 22/24 for NAMM. Well he's working anyways 22/24 haha.... but you get my point.. he told me they're not building anything special for NAMM and will just see what's available and take it from there (too much normal work going on, no time for "show basses) They're taking around 10 basses , they'll all likely sell in the US during that week end. Like 2 previous year.
 19. not sure , i know the Bass show is expensive to be at. So if on top of it you have to add travel from Germany / Hotel etc ... i'm sure it gets quite ££££££££££££££££
 20.
I am thinking of getting a precision bass and a jake is one of the options. It is a safe bet to go with Maruszczyk since I own one and already know the quality. Just simple passive with one p pickup. So, my questions to those who have experince with Jakes are that: 1- How do you describe the sound of maruszczyk's own p pickups? 2- Did you have any chance to compare them with other p pickups used by Adrian such as delano, haeussel, aguilar (my frog has bassculture humbuckers and they are great but I don't know if they have p pickup) etc. or any other p pickup you had experince with such as bartolinis, lindy fralins, fender vintage ones etc.? 3- How do you compare the playability and the sound of jakes to other p basses such as fender, lakland, sandberg etc.? I know I can ask these questions to Adrian and I am sure I will get an honest opinion but I would like to know what are the opinions of those who have experince with jakes. Cheers, GC
His own Pickup is made with Ferrite magnets and a lot of winding. Hence the more kind of aggressive sounding bass. Just for the story he made his 1st pickup in Poland when he was about 15 or 16. His J Pickups is Ferrite too. All the other brands you mentioned are (to my knowledge) Alnico ... which will be much smoother. in my opinion playability is just as good if not nicer than some of the "big boys"... but that's just personnal.
 21.
I'm going to be in Poland next week... and no, I promise I will not go to the workshop to stalk them while they -hopefully- start on my order. I'll be too busy drinking beer anyway. They have a surplus of strange politicians and beer. The former... I have no idea how to help. But I'm a master at making beer disappear.
` so was i , then i got old
 22. so ! asked the boss : there's 13 people working in poland :-D they're hoping to start the new workshop in march 2017
 23.
Going to wait till the money for this bass comes through and then will discuss with Adrian specs... I'm wanting something sparkly...
i have something sparkly ;-)
